Today, I have the pleasure of inviting you to discover, study, and learn a bit about animals in general across several continents. You will encounter a spectacular treasure in collections of Cuban flora and fauna, plus a brief museographic tour enhanced with lights and audio at Cuba's National Museum of Natural History.

Hoy tengo el placer de invitarlos a conocer, estudiar y aprender un poco de los animales en general en varios continentes. Conocerán un tesoro espectacular en colecciones de la flora y fauna cubana, además de un breve recorrido museográfico apoyado de luces y audio en el Museo Nacional de Historia Natural de Cuba.

To begin, I will tell you that upon entering you will breathe natural air with a central park, completely green and well-maintained.
A National Museum of Natural History located in the historic center of Old Havana, at 61 Obispo Street on the corner of Oficios, with opening hours from Tuesday to Sundays and a guide who will explain the exhibition rooms to you.
Para comenzar les diré que en su entrada se respira aire natural con un parque céntrico, totalmente verde y bien cuidado.
Un Museo Nacional de Historia Natural que se ubica en el casco histórico de La Habana Vieja, en Obispo #61 Esquina de Oficios, con horarios de apertura de martes a Domingos y un guía que les explica las salas expositivas.
The center has a leading vision in museology, professional development, professionalism, and natural history studies, specializing in the dissemination of knowledge about the paleontological, paleoclimatic, and taxonomic history of the Insular Caribbean. Its goal is to manage the natural history heritage of the island.
Upon entering, the first hall you see features birds such as the Pelican, Pink Flamingo, Cranes, and models of native Cuban fishing vessels.
El centro tiene una visión de referencia en la museología, superación, profesionalidad y estudios de historia natural, especializados en la socialización del conocimiento paleontológico, paleoclimático y taxonómico del Caribe Insular. Con el objetivo de gestionar el patrimonio de historia natural de la isla.
Al entrar la primera sala que vez, son aves como el Pelícano, Flamenco rosado, Grullas y una maquetas de pesca nativa de pesqueros de Cuba.
Continuing to begin the tour, there are display cases containing collections of minerals, rocks, fossils, plants, and animals, which serve as primary sources of scientific knowledge about nature.
They are filled with the riches of Caribbean history, and within them, one can find fossils of extinct animals as well as a full-color collection of a large number of butterflies found in Cuba's wild spaces.
Pasando a comenzar el recorrido están las vitrinas coleccionables de minerales, rocas, fósiles, plantas y animales, como fuentes primarias del conocimiento científico sobre la naturaleza.
Se colman de las riquezas de una historia caribeña, y se puede encontrar en ellas, fósiles de animales extinguidos hasta una colección a todo color de un gran número de mariposas que se encuentran en los espacios silvestres de Cuba.
This space captured my attention because it is the office of the museum's Curator. As you can observe, it contains a large number of objects, awards, photographs, and recognitions belonging to the author named Gilberto Silva Taboada.
An author with a scientific body of work that is internationally recognized and an unquestionable vocation for training new generations of researchers.
Este espacio captó mi atención por ser el centro o oficina del Curador del museo, como pueden observar se encuentra gran cantidad de objetos, premios, fotografías y reconocimientos del autor llamado Gilberto Silva Taboada.
Autor con una obra científica reconocida internacionalmente y una vocación indiscutible en la formación de nuevas generaciones de investigadores.
This exhibition is dedicated exclusively to Polymitas, a snail that lives only in Cuba and inhabits mountain ecosystems, typical of the terrestrial biome.
In 2022, the Polymita Picta received the "Mollusc of the Year" award in the competition organized by the LOEWE Center and the World Society of Malacology. As you can see, they are very beautiful and striking due to the red and yellow colors on their shells, which are quite unique.
Esta exposición es exclusiva para las Polimitas, un caracol exclusivamente que vive en Cuba y habita en ecosistemas de montaña, propios del bioma terrestre.
La Polymita Picta recibió en 2022 la condición de Molusco del años en el concurso que convoca el Centro Loewe y sociedad mundial de moluscos, como pueden observar son bien bonitos y llamativos por sus colores en el caparazón rojos, amarillos, bien originales.
Moving on to the largest animal exhibition in the facility, which is one of my favorites and the one I liked the most: getting to know, learn about, and study these animals from different regions of the planet.
The first displays are of the Polar Regions (North and South), featuring penguins, polar bears, moose, and sea lions, all very well-preserved.
Pasando a la exhibición más grande de la instalación en cuanto a animales, que es de mis favoritas y la que más me gusto de todas; el conocer, aprender y estudiar estos animales de distintas regiones del planeta.
Las primeras imágenes son de Regiones Polares (Norte y Sur) donde está presente el pingüino, oso polar, el alce y el lobo marino, todas bien conservadas.
I've always seen these animals on the Discovery Channel, and I enjoy watching documentaries about them in their natural habitat. They are quite large and live in very cold temperatures.
Another one is the owl. Although it may look very simple there, it is beautiful. The owls from the polar region are white with spectacular and lovely colors.
Estos animales siempre los he visto por discovery channel y me gusta observar los documentales en su hábitat natural, son bastante grandes y viven en altas temperaturas frías.
Otra es la lechuza, que aunque se vea ahí muy sencilla es bellísima, las de región polar son blancas con colores espectaculares y lindos.
Another area features exotic animals from Australia and New Guinea, including the Kangaroo, Cassowary, Echidna, Koala, and some birds whose names I don't remember exactly. These are known as examples of isolated evolution, as they adapted to the ecological niches of the continent.
Africa is a region I have always seen in Cuban zoos; 70% of the animals are brought from there. For example, the Ostrich, Chimpanzees, Porcupine, Spotted Hyena, Antelopes, Buffalo, and others like the Giraffe or Gorilla. I always enjoy seeing them on the visit.
Otra zona de exóticos animales es Australia y Nueva Guinea, estando presentes el Canguro, Casuario, Equidna, Koala y algunas aves que no recuerdo exacto sus nombres. Estos son conocidos como la evolución aislada por adaptarse a nichos ecológicos del continente.
El Africa es una región que siempre he visto en los zoológicos de Cuba, el 70% de los animales son traídos de allá, por ejemplo el Avestruz, los chimpancés, puerco espín, la Llena Manchada, los antílopes, el Búfalo y entre otros como la jirafa o el gorila. Siempre los disfruto en el paseo.
Indeed, Central and South America are regions with the greatest biodiversity on the planet, characterized by very beautiful birds, such as the macaw or the toucan. There is also the jaguar, caimans, turtles, squirrels, pumas, the sloth, the condor - a super large bird - and the hummingbird, one of the smallest.
Ya la parte de Centroamérica y Sudamérica son regiones de mayor biodiversidad del planeta caracterizadas por aves muy bellas, como el guacamayo o el Tucán, también está el Jaguar, los caimán , tortuga, ardillas, los Puma, el perezoso, el Cóndor ave súper grande y el colibrí de las más pequeñas.
Concluding this animal tour is North America, also home to some large animals like the Black Bear and the wolf. There is the manatee, the moose, the beaver, the armadillo, and others like the roadrunner.
These exhibition halls are designed to promote knowledge about nature, emphasizing the need to preserve the world's natural riches.
Concluyendo este paseo de los animales está Norteamérica, también con algunos animales de gran tamaño como el Oso Negro y el lobo, está el Manatí, el Sevilla, el castor, el armadillo y otros como el gavilán de monte.
Estas salas de exposiciones están destinadas a promover el conocimiento sobre la naturaleza, haciendo hincapié en la necesidad de preservar las riquezas naturales del mundo.
The museum exhibit is enhanced with lights and sounds of all the animals present, ensuring a brief tour where you can see representatives of fauna from all continents. I looked at it more than once and read each of the animals' scientific names.
El montaje museográfico está apoyado en luces y sonidos de todos los animales presentes, asegura un breve recorrido en el que se pueden apreciar representantes de la fauna de todos los continentes, lo mire más de una vez y leí cada uno de estos animales con sus nombre científicos.
Finally, the museum features the Hummingbird Room, dedicated to exhibitions and educational activities with a playful nature for children. This makes it a fantastic option if you're traveling to Cuba with your family.
I almost forgot Eurasia and Indonesia, with the English Duck, the much-admired Peacock, the Tapir, and other Antelopes.
Por último, el museo cuenta con la sala Colibrí, dedicado a exposiciones y actividades educativas para niños y niñas con carácter lúdico. Por lo que es una opción fantástica si viajas a Cuba en familia.
Olvidaba a Eurasia e Indonesia con el Pato Inglés, el Pavo Real tan gustado, el Tapir y otro Antílopes.
I saved the most important part of the museum for last: the History of the Earth and Life. It offers a general overview of the planet's evolution and the processes that resulted in the emergence of terrestrial life and its development up until the rise of the human species.
Furthermore, the final thing I saw was a fragment of the meteorite that fell in Arizona, USA over 50,000 years ago, used to research an approximation of life on Earth.
Dejé para el final la parte más importante del museo, Historia de la Tierra y de la Vida: ofrece una panorámica general de la evolución del planeta y de los procesos que dieron como resultado la aparición de la vida terrestre y su desarrollo hasta el surgimiento de la especie humana.
Además la vista final fue directo a un fragmento del meteorito caído en Arizona, EU hace más de 50 000 años, utilizado para investigar un aproximado de la vida en la Tierra.

This amazing museum of animal mummies and ancient civilizations is very beautiful to see. There is a chance to meet many animals along with a collection of different animals. Thank you for introducing us to this beautiful museum in Cuba city along with the amazing mummies. However, that amazing meteorite from the United States is interesting.
Thank you so much @mdakash62 for the support. Yes, it really is a very beautiful and interesting natural history museum. They had audio clips with the sounds of each animal, detailed descriptions of them, and a great variety of them represented by continent.

Muchas gracias @claudiabook por comentar, pues te diré que el museo ya sabía de él, pero no imagine la gran cantidad de animales que existían en la instalación y te mencionaré que aún faltan más fotos del museo, lo que sería muy extenso el post, asi que en los próximos días haré la continuación.
