Welcome back friends, today I want to tell you about a brief experience lived in that of Salò at a residence as simple as it is peaceful, we are on Lake Garda a few kilometers from the coasts, but a few hundred meters above sea level, in the midst of hectares of olive trees and completely surrounded by nature, here is the Podere Nigriano farmhouse.
It was 2:00 pm on Saturday 13 February, a truly perfect day to move to more touristic and breezy locations, so much so that Lake Garda is one of the most popular destinations for travelers visiting northern Italy and certainly one of mine I prefer, as some of you will know I used to go to Lake Garda during the summer with my friends, I have always found some really special places and spent unforgettable moments like in this new adventure.
Packing our bags we jumped into the car for departure, the journey was really short of about 40 minutes, luckily we did not find traffic or difficulty in reaching the place, the only doubt was if we had arrived at the right gate so we contacted the owner who very kindly opened us and showed us the place.
Inside the residence there are 5 structures, I'm not sure how many are used for guests but surely one (the largest) is that of the owners, really very beautiful it looked like a noble palace, for us guests instead there were some cute little houses very compact but at the same time complete with everything, since unfortunately our stay was only fixed until the following day we didn't need any extra comforts except beds and a bathroom.
Once settled in the rooms we were able to enjoy that small space of nature that offered a magnificent view of the lake and the city, so I took the opportunity to take some photos while waiting for the sunset.
After an hour of relaxation and entertainment, we went back to our room to dine, but above all to prepare ourselves for the absolute gem of the place, the outdoor whirlpool...unfortunately, taken by the heat, I forgot to take pictures of the tub, but there I assure you that it was really nice and comfortable if you want to take a look you can find some photos on their website (https://www.poderenigriano.com).
Alternatively, I propose some panoramic photos taken at around 10 pm, the whole lit city seen from up there was truly spectacular and thanks to the night mode of my phone I was able to take more than satisfactory shots.
The following day we woke up around 10 to have a quick breakfast, enjoy the last moments of tranquility and then go for a walk in the center; after saying goodbye and thanking the owner, we took the car back and headed towards the city, unfortunately we could not find any restaurant open or with availability of places so we had to fall back towards Moniga del Garda.
I have been a few times in Moniga but I think it is a really nice place to spend some quiet days, you have the opportunity to walk on the coast of the lake where there are also several bars and restaurants a few meters away, despite this it remains a really peaceful town especially in low season when there is not too much tourism.
After a few hours of walking we finally found a restaurant that had seats available and given the hunger that had risen we did not hesitate to take a seat. The experience at the restaurant I must say was not the best, we waited a long time to receive our orders and all the customers complained about problems with the timing, they probably weren't expecting many people and were not prepared to welcome everyone quickly, I would say the dishes were normal, nothing in particular I would have expected something more sincerely; vote... definitely not ten.
It was about 5pm when we headed home, but before ending the day we pampered ourselves a little more with an excellent ice cream and then waited for the sad following day with the resumption of the usual work routine, it was nice while it lasted...
I thank all of you who have read my post, personally I highly recommend visiting Podere Nigriano for at least one night, so if you ever pass by Salò, don't forget to take some time to relax immersed in nature and in the beauty of these wonderful places offered by Lake Garda. See you next time!
Bentornati amici, oggi voglio raccontarvi una breve esperienza vissuta in quel di Salò presso una residenza tanto semplice quanto pacifica, ci troviamo sul lago di Garda a pochi chilometri dalle coste, ma a qualche centinaia di metri di altitudine, in mezzo a ettari di ulivi e circondati completamente dalla natura, ecco a voi l'agriturismo Podere Nigriano.
Erano le 14:00 di Sabato 13 febbraio, una giornata davvero perfetta per spostarsi verso località più turistiche e ventilate, tant'è vero che il lago di Garda è una delle mete più gettonate dai viaggiatori che visitano il nord Italia e sicuramente una delle mie preferite, come alcuni di voi sapranno ero solito recarmi al lago di Garda durante l'estate con i miei amici, ho trovato sempre dei posti davvero particolari e passato momenti indimenticabili come in questa nuova avventura.
Fatte le valigie ci siamo fiondati in macchina per la partenza, il viaggio era davvero breve di circa 40 minuti, fortunatamente non abbiamo trovato ne traffico ne difficoltà a raggiungere il luogo, l'unico dubbio era se fossimo arrivati al cancello giusto così abbiamo contattato il titolare che molto gentilmente ci ha aperto e fatto vedere il posto.
All'interno della residenza ci sono 5 strutture, non sono sicuro di quante siano adibite agli ospiti ma sicuramente una (la più grande) è quella dei proprietari, davvero molto bella sembrava un palazzo nobiliare, per noi ospiti invece c'erano delle carinissime casette molto compatte ma allo stesso tempo complete di tutto, siccome purtroppo la nostra permanenza era fissata solo fino all'indomani non ci serviva alcuna comodità extra se non dei letti ed un bagno.
Una volta sistemati nelle camere ci siamo potuti godere quel piccolo spazio di natura che offriva una vista magnifica sul lago e la città, così ne ho approfittato per scattare qualche foto in attesa del tramonto.
Dopo un'oretta di relax e svago siamo tornati in camera per cenare, ma soprattutto per prepararci alla chicca assoluta del posto, l'idromassaggio all'aperto...purtroppo preso dalla foga mi sono dimenticato di scattare delle foto della vasca, ma vi assicuro che era davvero bella e confortevole se volete darci un occhio potete trovare alcune foto sul loro sito web (https://www.poderenigriano.com).
In alternativa vi propongo delle foto panoramiche fatte verso le 22, la città tutta illuminata vista da lassù era davvero spettacolare e grazie alla modalità notte del mio telefono sono riuscito ad eseguire degli scatti più che soddisfacenti.
Il giorno seguente ci siamo risvegliati intorno alle 10 per fare una veloce colazione, goderci gli ultimi attimi di tranquillità e per poi andare a fare una passeggiata in centro; dopo aver salutato e ringraziato il proprietario abbiamo ripreso la macchina e ci siamo diretti verso la città, purtroppo non riuscivamo a trovare nessun ristorante aperto o con disponibilità di posti perciò abbiamo dovuto ripiegare verso Moniga del Garda.
Sono stato poche volte a Moniga ma penso sia davvero un bel posto dove trascorrere delle giornate tranquille, si ha la possibilità di passeggiare sulla costa del lago dove ci sono anche diversi bar e ristoranti a pochi metri, nonostante ciò rimane una cittadina davvero pacifica soprattutto in bassa stagione quando non c'è troppo turismo.
Dopo qualche ora di camminata abbiamo trovato finalmente un ristorante che aveva dei posti disponibili e vista la fame che ci era salita non abbiamo esitato a prendere posto. L'esperienza al ristorante devo dire non è stata delle migliori, abbiamo aspettato un sacco di tempo per ricevere i nostri ordini e tutti i clienti lamentavano di problemi sulle tempistiche, probabilmente non si aspettavano tanta gente e non erano preparati ad accogliere tutti velocemente, le pietanze erano direi nella norma, niente di particolare mi sarei aspettato qualcosa in più sinceramente; voto... sicuramente non diesci.
Erano le 17 circa quando ci siamo avviati verso casa, ma prima di concludere la giornata ci siamo viziati ancora un po' con un ottimo gelato per poi attendere il triste giorno seguente con la ripresa della solita routine lavorativa, è stato bello finché è durato...
