Laos is such a beautiful and peaceful country! Kuang Si Waterfalls was definitely majestic! Would have wanted to swim there but perhaps next time. I met the elephants at the sanctuary on the way there. It was a wonderful encounter as well!
I know there was one hotel that shows Silent Movies, is that still a thing there?
Luang Prabang truly is a peaceful place. I like to walk my dog in the middle of the night and I've never seen anything dangerous except for a huge centipede. I've heard of that movie scene because they lack any theaters here, but I've never been. A lot of the hotels and hangouts have unfortunately still to come back after the years of lockdown. When I was working at a hotel out of town in the mountains a guest asked me what the horrible dinosaur-sounding roar was and I told him it was just the elephants across the river.
