Winter Carnival Manali 2025 | A festival where you can connect with the local culture of the North Indian VIllages

In the Month of January, when the winter is at it's peak, the people of Manali organise a carnival every year and they call it winter carnival. The town is well decorated and the locals are very excited to be a part of it and get dreassed in their traditional dress. In this dress the females wear Dhatu and Pattu, all of it is made of wool. Whereas the males wear Sadri and Topi. It is a very beautiful Kullvi dress.

The carnival started on 22nd January and the first day was quite exciting and a lot of people were on the mall road. The tourists were also excited to see the festival. It was extremely cold but still people were enjoying and dancing.

The carnival lasted for 5 days and it was an amazing experience to be a part of it. I got a chance to play with a local band and it was crazy experience. There were a lot of people. The Mall road was decorated with beautiful lights. There were lots of cultural activities too. It was totally new experience for me. I was so overwhelmed with all of this.

I hope you will like the pictures and can imagine how much fun this was to be a part of this beautiful winter carnival.
