"Exploring the Spiritual Tapestry of Varanasi: A Journey Through Temples, Monuments, and BHU campus🧡"

Hello beautiful people💖
How are you doing?
I hope you're all doing well 🕊️

Wishing you all a very happy new year 🎊 Sending you lots of love and happiness ❤️

My third day in Varanasi started with an early morning visit to the Kashi Vishwanath temple.

Navigating through the narrow alleys, reminiscent of scenes from movies, we were surprised by the long line outside the temple.

Various tourists who visit these holy places in India buy these types of shirts.

Despite expecting fewer people, the line was quite extensive. Some friends decided to take a sacred bath in the Ganga, dividing our group into two. We stood in line, received the prasad, and after a 2-3 hour wait, reached the main temple. Unfortunately, I couldn't capture the temple's beauty as phones had to be deposited outside.

There is a magnificent monument outside the temple, representing Mother India, and everyone is capturing moments with this grand structure.

The old monument outside the temple caught my eye. I was astonished by its beauty.

Post-temple visit, here's a picture of me with another tikka.

The serene Ganga River in Varanasi left a lasting sense of calm.

We encountered a Sadhu Baba on a Varanasi ghat. These Sadhus relinquish worldly ties, embracing a life free from conventional emotions.

Our next stop was Banaras Hindu University (BHU), where our friend studies. Spread over 16.5 km², BHU is the largest residential university in Asia with 40,000 students worldwide. Various students are seated in the lawn area. Some are engaged in discussions, while others are simply relaxing.

We visited the Shree Vishwanath temple within the campus, impressed by its regal entrance and nearby shops.

Varanasi's monuments and temples resemble religious places, and the abundance of bookstores adds to its charm.

We saw the statue of Mahamana Pt. Madan Mohan Malaviya, co-founder of BHU, outside Shree Vishwanath temple.

This temple dedicated to Lord Shiva attracts people from different places. I'll write another blog specifically about this temple, as the current one would become overly lengthy if I include it here.

Afterward, we explored the university library, learning about students dedicating at least 6 hours to studying.

There is a profound quote inscribed at the library entrance, written in Sanskrit—the sacred language of Hinduism. It reads, "विद्ययामृतमश्नुते," translating to "He who knows knowledge can attain immortality."

The campus, adorned with palm trees, exuded a beach-like vibe.

As the day ended, the sun set beautifully. Attempting to capture its beauty, the lens fell short of doing justice.

Before leaving Varanasi, we couldn't miss trying the famous Banarasi pan. Banarasi pan typically includes a betel leaf filled with various ingredients such as areca nut, coriander seeds, slaked lime, catechu, and sometimes tobacco, along with various flavorings like cardamom, fennel seeds, and sweeteners. If you are in Varanasi, you should definitely try the famous banarasi pan.

With our suitcases packed, we headed back to the station. I spotted this colorful tower from the railway station and decided to capture its beauty.
