Jeep Rides, Hikes, and Memories: A Trip to Siri Paye

in Worldmappin2 days ago

Hello everyone!
I hope you all are doing well.
On 29th November, my friends and I went on a trip to Siri Pae.

We had just finished our midterm exams of the 3rd semester, and all of us were tired and stressed out. We really needed a break, so this plan felt perfect.

We found a flyer for this trip online, and without wasting time, we booked our seats. We told our parents later and used the “we already paid” excuse, and thankfully it worked just the way we wanted lol.

Everything was going great until the night before the trip when the incharge suddenly changed the departure time from 8 am to 6 am. Everyone replied except one of our friends who slept early and had no idea about the change.

The next morning, everyone reached on time except her. We called again and again, but she didn’t pick up. After almost 30 minutes, she finally woke up and rushed straight to the university without even getting ready. She came in her home clothes, and when she stepped into the bus, we all just started laughing.

We started our journey around 7 am.

The bus was full of fun. We sang songs, cracked jokes and enjoyed the whole time. At the beginning of the ride, most of us also slept for a while because we knew that once we reached there, we had to hike and explore, so saving some energy was important.

After almost three hours, we stopped for breakfast, and the prices shocked us. We only had one paratha and a cup of tea to survive, but we did see a cute cat there, which honestly made it worth it.

As we moved ahead, the roads got thinner and steeper. The bus couldn’t go further, so we shifted to jeeps. The jeep ride was both scary and funny. We were screaming and laughing at the same time.

After almost six hours of traveling, we reached Shogran, but there was no snowfall which made everyone a little disappointed. So we asked the incharge to take us to Siri Pae.

Now this jeep ride was next level. The narrow tracks and cliffs made it feel like one wrong move and we were gone. I held the handle tightly the whole way and didn’t let go.

When we finally reached Siri Paye, the view was totally worth it. Snow covered mountains, cold fresh air and complete peace.

We explored the place and even found some really cool spots for pictures. We took a lot of photos and tried to capture every moment.

We hiked for about 1 hour straight, enjoying the fresh air and beautiful scenery. Along the way, we saw some horses, which was really cool.

After the hike, we finally sat down and enjoyed BBQ with naan and cold drinks in the freezing weather. It was such a perfect combo.

Around 6 pm, we started our journey back because we had to reach the university by 10 pm.

On the way, we played Antakshari (a popular Indian musical game where players or teams sing songs in a chain, with each new song starting with the last letter or word of the previous one) and sadly my team lost.

We reached Islamabad around 11 pm, very tired but extremely happy. It was surely one of the most refreshing and memorable days of my life. And the funniest part is that after reaching home, I slept for almost 20 hours.

Hope you enjoyed reading about our fun trip.
See you soon in the next post <3
