When I headed to Lazarevac, a small town in central Serbia, I had no plans to visit the ethno village that I wrote about in my previous posts. We wanted to visit Lake Ocaga, which was recommended to us by friends.
Since we came across interesting places along the way, we left the visit to the lake for last.
When we got there we saw that it was a very neat area. We entered through the leaf gate.
It was very peaceful and quiet. Only the chirping of birds was heard.
The flowers have already bloomed. I loved all those spring shades. I enjoyed walking and looking at the surroundings, away from work and screens.
Lake Ocaga is an artificial lake, around which there are walking paths along its entire length, and in the summer it turns into the city's favorite swimming spot.
It is always kept clean and it is obvious that the locals care about this place.
I liked that there is a lot of greenery around and spots where children can play while you lie on the grass and relax.
There are fish in the lake, but fishing is not allowed. They live freely. My son wanted to attract them to the surface of the water to see them so he fed them popcorn.
Suddenly, a lot of fish appeared there. My daughter saw so many fish in one place for the first time and she was amazed.
Lake Ocaga is ideal for a weekend walk when you enjoy peace and quiet and a clean environment in which you feel comfortable. All you need is a picnic blanket and a good will to rest.
What is interesting to mention is that Lake Ocaga is filled with spring water, and thanks to an artificial geyser, it has continuously filtered water. So during the summer you don't have to worry about the cleanliness of the water if you come for a swim. Whether you are resting, swimming or walking, this lake will give you complete pleasure.

Such clean water is very hard to find in my country, I have barely seen this clean. I really love each and every picture you have captured.

I didn't see any trash and it was very clean, so comfortable and I think the air must be very good with optimal humidity. a good place to enjoy the air and relax for a while in the sun.👍
Yes, there is no trash and they take care of the place pretty well. It is a good choice for family weekends. 😊
