DeHello hivers, how have you been? This time, I want to tell you about a historic trip to a slave farm, as we call it here. It dates back to the 1800s and is called the Tahoro sugar mill. It's located just outside Bauta on the Cangrejeras highway, near the town of Santa Fe. A few days ago, we decided to explore the place with our guide @Muhammadhalim and @melmily249 (who has visited us, and we've never shown her the place). All that remains are ruins. The memory I had was surprising, but everything is destroyed, with the grass overgrown. Very little remains of the main house (it no longer has a roof).

The only thing that remains is the bell.

You can still feel the black walls from the burning during the colonial era.

That place has been used for quinceañera photos, school activities, sports matches, etc. At least that's what I remember from the 2nd grade graduation we celebrated there, where we exchanged gifts and played hide-and-seek. It was also used for drawing sessions with children, but that hasn't been done for a while. I remember my mom and older sister taking some photos of us there for our quinceañeras, which turned out really nice.

Today I wanted to see the remains of one of those photos and I never found it.

During our foray, we saw a column at the entrance to the sugar mill, surely it's going to lead to a house not related to the place. Above what remains of the barracks, a tree has grown. Very interesting flora intertwined with its walls lends beauty and mysticism to the place.
Dare you visit the place despite its destruction!
See you on the next adventure. Greetings to everyone!
Hi there,
Of course I’m up for it. 😃 I didn’t know that place was around there… Thanks for sharing it. You really made a great team. I can imagine how much fun you had together.
Places like that are truly impressive, and I love that first view of the house and the bell tower.
Hola. Si.
