Just a quick story, we needed to book 2 nights for a place in the north because first we will be celebrating our wedding anniversary and second it’s my best friend’s birthday. The thing is, the place that we wanted to stay was a bit expensive if we will be staying for 2 nights so we decided to get another place for a night that is cheaper so that we can save a few bucks. Upon doing some searching, I found La Mer Beach Resort so I booked 3 family rooms (good for 4 persons each room) and it already comes with free breakfast. The room was big enough for the five of us because I paid an extra bed. I was impressed with how clean the room was and the color palette of the paint was so refreshing to the eyes. I also liked the idea thay they got a separate room for drying out clothes just to lessen guests from hanging their wet clothes outside on the veranda.
To be honest, I did not expect anything from this resort because for the price I assumed that the service and the place will be just so-so. When the staff took our orders for breakfast the next day I asked the staff what’s the meaning of La Mer and she briefly answered me that La Mer is a French word that means by the sea.
We checked the beach and yes this place has one of the best white sand beaches in the north of Cebu.
Checked in time was 2:00 PM but we got their an hour earlier but they managed to have us checked in right away. We rested for a bit because it was a long drive and it's still very hot to go swimming. At around 4:00 PM it's already high tide,we had a quick dip at the pool, we sat at the beach sand to watch the sunset while the kids enjoyed swimming.
We had a sumptuous dinner, we were so full and we spent the night drinking and chitchatting with my barkada.
The next morning, it was really sunny and it was high tide so we swam and spent the whole morning at the beach.
Overall, we really enjoyed our weekend at La Mer. Their customer service is great; the staffs were really helpful. The food for our dinner was delicious and worth its price and they served it on time. The Wi-Fi connectivity is good but expect to have weak signals when inside the room. The location is quite accessible because it’s located in the center of San Remigio. The thing that we really loved about the place is their wide stretch of beachfront. We were in awe to see the beautiful beach and the view of the golden sunset.
If you're looking for a clean and quiet place, then head on to La Mer Beach Resort. This place is a perfect avenue for the whole family to enjoy the white beach sand and the cozy feeling of their rooms. It is located in Poblacion, San Remigio just 3-4 hours’ drive from the city.
