The period buildings located within the historic center of my city are generally well-preserved and have been declared architectural monuments, which obligates their owners to maintain them properly.
Here, architectural monuments cannot be demolished, only restored inside; the facade must retain its original style.

Good to hear such measures have been taken to preserve these historical monuments. What is more interesting for me is that they are still in use in their original capacity.
