Welcome to another edition of the Shape of the Cape with your host Julescape. Today our video clip is something different from the usual. Normally I like to show you my favorite places in remote parts of nature in my area. Today, however, I am keen to show you my more urban treasure spots.

In this video clip you can see the small but idyllic seaside holiday town of Plettenberg Bay. Plett, as it is known, is a prime holiday town in sunny South Africa, right on the southernmost coastline of Africa. It’s the tourist destination of millionaires from all over the world. And it is small and not known by many.

The beaches are long and white and slim, going for miles all along the bay in either direction. Mostly my posts and video clips show the more rugged cliffs away from the town, but today I’m in the town and the view has an appeal of its own.

Many of the fancy holiday houses in the town are empty throughout the year, and then in season the owners come and sty in them for a few weeks. The rest of the time they are too busy earning the money to own them. So I am one of the few really fortunate people in the world that can live here all year long.

I am living the permanent holiday, in this prime little region of the world. Mostly I live outside of the town in a more rural area and this week in the video I’m in the town. I took this video clip in June, during the winter in the south, and you can see how mild and pleasant the weather is for mid winter.

Sunny South Africa is a great place to spend winter, and back then we had some sort of lockdown of course. May how I remember the good old days back in June this year. So much has changed since then. We are in a new sort of beach lockdown, so that those very same beaches in the video clip are now banned. No one is allowed to set a single foot on them.

Can you imagine it being summer now and all the holiday makers have arrive to spend their annual vacation in their holiday home, and they are banned from walking on the beach. It sounds like a farce. In fact it is a removal of out human rights. Anyway, I went into the logic of locking down the beaches in my last post.

Here at least you can see the beauty of the place. Usually you need to be a millionaire to live here but I get away with it as a pauper. I am a happy beach bum, living the dream beach life in paradise while owning no land or property. I have found a way to support myself and rent a cheap place. I’m happy to be a lowly hermit in paradise.

The servant of the king gets to enjoy as much as the king. The beaches are free and the fresh air too. That’s if they unlock the beaches again. If you ever get to this part of the world then come and look me up and I will show you all the best areas to explore in this playground of the rich and famous.

Nice, now I just need some real replies from humans. They don't seem to read this post, only you AI bots. Bit lame in my opinion. Maybe my literary skills and composition are too archaic for Hive. My epic travel vlog certainly appears to be way beyond the league of any human readership. I will just have to enjoy paradise on my own as usual. And boy is it paradise. Epic beauty and health.

Haha lol, good I was aiming to get a reaction. And since this my following post had a wave of readers so the coals have been stoked.
