Hey there welcome to another edition of The Shape of The Cape, with your host Julescape. In today’s video upload, which I took in June 2020, mid-winter here, you can see how sunny it is, even then. Sunny South Africa is where I find a sense of paradise on the shoreline. Come and check it out – paradise is here for you too.

This was taken back in lockdown, when we were restricted from too much movement, which is ironic as we are back there again now in December, with further lockdown of our beaches. However, this stretch of coast that you see here is free. Actually no one comes here, so there is no problem, and it’s the only place now in December where one can actually still access the shoreline, since our regular beaches are literally locked down by the government and police.

I still come to this very place, despite the lockdown of the beach because I doubt the police could even get here or find me. So I explore this rugged shoreline by myself as much as I like, while all the rest of the locals as well as the holiday tourists in the town nearby are stuck on dry land, so to speak.

Well your tour guide Julescape is roaming freely and I’m happy to be able to share this sense of freedom with you. I have been rock climbing on the shorelines since my infancy in Cape Town. Today I simply do the same thing but just further up the coast. This place is called the Garden Route, and is situated about 550KM to the east of Cape Town along the south Cape coast of Africa.

Come and join me if you ever get a chance or want to explore some remote and adventurous stretch of coast, even while beaches are locked down by the cops. I will show you how to become liberated from the madness of the crowds and the daily stress of life under the house arrest that the whole world is experiencing.

Here the weather is mild and sunny all year long, as you can see by the winter clip. It’s an amazing place free from humans, even though the town of Plettenberg Bay is so nearby, a few kilometers away. This Garden Route region, is perhaps the top tourist beach area in the country. And this clip you see here is a region that not even many locals know about. Or certainly they don’t come to visit it much.

So consider yourself fortunate to be able to share it and see it here even briefly. You can get a taste of the treasure of the place. And it’s easy to reach, you just need to know the paths and the route. Here I can find a sense of peace and tranquility, while taking my time to mediate and find a healthy uplifting state of consciousness as well as exuberant health.

They can lock down our beaches but we will never be stopped from finding more places on the shoreline to relish. This is where good health and vitality is to be found, all remedies to covid. So the government must go back to their boardroom and rethink their political agenda. I will be basking in the sunshine and sea water at my private beach among the rocks, as I always have since infancy.

If you have not visited this stretch of the African shoreline, then fell free to look me up and I will take you on a tour of the area, and show you some of the local treasures and natural wonders of the planet, all situated in this small gem of an area.

¡Que mar tan azul y tan bello! Se parece a las costas de Venezuela. Precioso. Y sí, dudo que la policía te pueda encontrar, jajaja, seguro les da flojera caminar hasta allá, y atravesar esa intrincada vegetación. Gracias por compartir tus hermosos paisajes. Saludos y bendiciones.

What a blue and beautiful sea! It looks like the coasts of Venezuela. Beautiful. And yes, I doubt that the police can find you, hahaha, surely they are lazy to walk there, and go through that intricate vegetation. Thank you for sharing your beautiful landscapes. Greetings and blessings.

Thank you my friend from Venezuela. I am happy that you liked the video and the beautiful scenery of South Africa. We are connected as third world people, from the south. Here we may be poor but we have the beauty of nature that is free.

Gracias

You still have the immense blessing of being able to enjoy your landscapes, here it is a death sentence venturing to visit a lonely beach. Extreme crimes put those who dare in danger of death. We have no right to that here. Take care.

Yes I know what you mean, we also have massive crime problem here, but somehow I have found a solitary place to visit. I wonder how long it will last. In the big cities it is impossible to visit an empty beach alone because of the potential crime.
