Red Cliff Lodge

During a trip to the Southern U.S. we stopped at the Red Cliff Lodge. It advertised a Movie museum, and it was quite interesting to see how many movies were shot on location near Moab, Utah.

It was a nice bit of green scenery, since the surrounding desert is all brown and red, the river and lush green valley was a nice change.
The lodge has everything you could want while on vacation, horseback riding, a pool, massage, river rafting trips, and many artifacts from a long past era.

There was snow in the mountains and it was Sept, we rode from the top of the La Sal mountain and the next day at the summit they received 9" of snow.

It is located close to Arches National Park and the small quaint tourist town of Moab.
The red cliffs are 2,000' high or 609m.

Nice scenery, nice location it was an interesting and relaxing place to spend an afternoon.
