My arrival at the botanical garden in Copenhagen began with meeting a nice Japanese woman on a Copenhagen train. I was driving from outside Copenhagen, and the botanical garden is located in the center, at Gothersgade 128. The Japanese woman, like me, was a nature lover and later we exchanged botanical treasures by letters - I sent her nature stickers and she sent me a lovely poster with flowers. Right at the entrance to the garden, there is a shop where you can buy various postcards, mugs, and many other souvenirs with wonderfully designed nature themes. A moment later you can see the first plants, I invite you to walk together in this amazing place.
Mój przyjazd do ogrodu botanicznego w Kopenhadze rozpoczął się od nawiązania znajomości z pewną miłą Japonką w Kopenhaskim pociągu. Jechałam spod Kopenhagi, a ogród botaniczny mieści się w centrum, przy Gothersgade 128. Japonka, podobnie jak ja była miłośniczką przyrody i później listownie wymieniłyśmy się botanicznymi skarbami - ja jej przesłałam naklejki z motywami natury, a ona wysłała mi śliczny plakat z kwiatami. Tuż przy wejściu do ogrodu znajduje się sklepik, w którym można kupić różne pocztówki, kubki i wiele innych pamiątek z cudownie zaprojektowami motywami przyrodniczymi. A chwilę dalej widać pierwsze rośliny, zapraszam was na wspólnu spacer po tym niezwykłym miejscu.
In the Danish botanical garden, I saw giant sequoias, ginkgo Biloba, water lilies, and many more plants, as well as ... many fathers with prams with children. While in my country more and more men go for a walk with their children on their own, in Copenhagen I had the impression that there were more men with prams than women with prams.
W duńskim ogrodzie botanicznym widziałam olbrzymie sekwoje, miłorzęby japońskie, lilie wodne i jeszcze więcej innych roślin, a także... wielu ojców z wózkami z dziećmi. O ile w moim kraju coraz częściej widać mężczyzn, którzy sami wychodzą na spacer z dziećmi, w Kopenhadze miałam wrażenie, że mężczyzn z wózkami było więcej niż kobiet.
The building inside the botanical garden was inspired by the glass Crystal Palace, which was erected for the Great Exhibition in London in 1851. There are 27 greenhouses in the garden. The most notable is the 3,000 square meter conservatory complex dating from 1874. The Palm House in its center is 16 meters high and has a narrow cast iron spiral staircase leading to the corridor at the top. The plants are a palm tree from 1824 and a wonderful collection of cycads, some of which are over 100 years old. The fifty-meter-long greenhouse has a rich collection of cacti and other succulents, while another has orchids and begonias. The modern greenhouse is designed for the tailed. There is also a special air-conditioned greenhouse in the garden that can recreate an environment suitable for Arctic plants.

Inspiracją budynku znajdującego się na terenie ogrodu botanicznego był szklany budynek Crystal Palace, który został wzniesiony na Wielką Wystawę w Londynie w 1851 roku. W ogrodzie znajduje się 27 szklarni. Najbardziej godnym uwagi jest kompleks oranżerii o powierzchni 3000 metrów kwadratowych z 1874 roku. Znajdująca się w jej centrum Palmiarnia ma 16 metrów wysokości i ma wąskie żeliwne spiralne schody prowadzące do korytarza na szczycie. Roślinami są palma z 1824 roku i wspaniała kolekcja sagowców , z których niektóre mają ponad 100 lat. W szklarni o długości pięćdziesięciu metrów znajduje się bogata kolekcja kaktusów i innych sukulentów, podczas gdy w innej znajdują się orchidee i begonie . Nowoczesna szklarnia jest przeznaczona dla ogoniastych . W ogrodzie znajduje się również specjalna klimatyzowana szklarnia, która może odtworzyć środowisko odpowiednie dla roślin arktycznych.

There was a small wooden bridge over the lake in the park. I paused on it for a moment and sat up, stretching my legs in front of me, even letting them down for a moment so that they could touch the water. It was fun to admire the water lilies around.
Nad jeziorkiem na terenie parku był mały drewniany mostek. Zatrzymałam się na nim na chwilę i usiadłam wyciągając przed siebie nogi, a nawet spuszczając je przez moment tak, że mogły dotknąć wody. Fajnie było zachwycać się w ten sposób znajdującymi się dookoła liliami wodnymi.
And soon I got to huge redwoods. If it weren't for the botanical garden, I probably would never have seen many of these trees. It's great to be able to see plants that grow on other continents, in different climates. I wish I could see a baobab in the botanical garden because I have never seen it before, and who knows if I will ever see it live in Africa.
I wkrótce dotarlam do ogromnych sekwoi. Gdyby nie ogród botaniczny, pewnie nigdy bym nie zobaczyła wielu z tych drzew. Świetnie jest móc zobaczyć rośliny, które rosną na innych kontynentach, w innych strefach klimatycznych. Chciałabym móc zobaczyć w ogrodzie botanicznym baobab, bo jeszcze nigdy go nie widziałam, a kto wie, czy zobaczę go kiedyś na żywo, w Afryce.
I was delighted with the shape of this trunk lying on the ground, a bit forgotten, almost overgrown by the surrounding plants. It looks a bit like a wooden bottle opener ;) But maybe you will also find other analogies with it.
Zachwycił mnie kształt tego pnia leżącego na ziemi, takiego trochę zapomnianego, niemal zarośniętego przez okoliczne rośliny. Wygląda trochę jak drewniany otwieracz do butelek ;) Choć może znajdziecie z nim również inne analogie.
And here are long plants with sort of red seeds.
A tu długie rośliny z jakby czerwonymi nasionkami.
And Eonium - succulents, or something similar I saw on Gomera.

It's worth taking a look there, the entrance to the Danish botanical garden is free, and being there, you can move to a different plant world for a while.
Warto tam zajrzeć, wejście do duńskiego ogrodu botanicznego jest za darmo, a Będąc tam można się na chwilę przenieść do innego, roślinnego świata.
Jak sobie przypomnisz serię filmów "Gang Olsena" to tam Kjell był cały czas z wózkiem. Widać taki sport narodowy ;)
Jak mi się zdaje, może to mieć związek z tym, że obok urlopów macierzyńskich mają tam również płatne urlopy tacierzyńskie. Ale za czasów Kjella chyba ich jeszcze nie mieli ;-).
