Hello everyone. Thailand has been a land of Buddhism from ancient times to the present, where the majority of the population is Buddhist. When you go to Thailand, you will see many beautiful temples at this land in every province of the country. These temples include beautiful modern temples, hundreds of years old temples that has been restored and the old temple which is an ancient ruins, and has not been restored.
Chiang Mai Province where my family and I live has both new temples and old temples that are hundreds of years old as well. Last week me and my wife had a chance to go to Muang District, Chiang Mai Province. We visited and made merit at many temples in this district. And the temple that I want to share for this post of last week's trip is called Wat Ched Yot.
Wat Ched Yot is another ancient temple in Chiang Mai Province. This temple was built in the year A.D. 1455, approximately 568 years old. In the past, the original name of this temple was called Wat Photharam Mahawiharn. And changed its name to Wat Ched Yot until now. Because the people in the area are popularly called from the sanctuary of this temple, which has a top as 7 pagodas. The important history of Wat Ched Yot is A.D. 1477, this temple was the venue for the 8th buddhist council of the world.
The main highlight of this temple is this ancient sanctuary, which has a top of 7 pagodas. This sanctuary is an architecture of ancient, built with laterite decorated with stucco patterns. Currently, the sanctuary is in a relatively complete condition.

Inside the sanctuary, there is a large bronze buddha image and several smaller buddha images.
The pagoda of the temple, which is an architecture of ancient that is still intact. In front of the pagoda there is a monument of Phracea Tilokarat, King of the lanna kingdom who ruled over the northern lands of ancient Thailand and was the one who built this temple.

In addition to the architecture of ancient within the temple, this temple also has new architecture such as sanctuary and chapel, which creates a beautiful northern art style.
Within the temple grounds, there are many Buddha images to be seen and worshiped throughout the temple.
The atmosphere inside the temple is a peaceful temple with many big trees.
