Before I had finished writing and talking about our previous second cruise in the Western Caribbean, we were already on a new cruise, this time in the Southern Caribbean.
This was the longest cruise for us so far, we were on the cruise for 11 nights, 12 days.
We visited 6 ports:
1. Costa Rica.
2. Panama.
3. Cartagena, Colombia
4. Aruba Island (Dutch Territories).
5. Bonaire Island (Dutch Territories).
6. Curacao Island (Dutch Territories).
Thus, in one cruise we visited 6 different places.
Our cruise ship "Vision of the seas" is the smallest liner of all cruise liners, exactly the same twin ship we went on our first cruise to the Bahamas in 2016.
But so far we have chosen all three of our cruises not by ships, but by destinations.
That is, when choosing a cruise, we choose where we want to go and what we want to see there.
And what kind of liner you get is a second matter, because they are all good, even the smallest ones (which are actually also very large).
What did we see during our trip?
- Curacao.
Here we visited a bee farm where dozens of species of bees live wonderfully and produce honey, some of which are the size of a small fly.
Never in my life would I have believed that these are bees, that they can be so small, and that they can be bred, kept and receive honey from them.
In this photo you can see the size of the bee living in the hives because I put my finger on it and you can see that the bee is half the size of my fingernail.
We also walked around the national park, where we saw sloths, monkeys, a poisonous yellow snake, leaf-cutting ants, various interesting plants - all this in real nature, just walking, without any fences, in wildlife.

- Panama.
Of course, here we visited the Panama Canal, looked at this gigantic structure, watched how ships pass through it.

Then we moved to another city, where we walked around the historical part.
And watched from the side of the central part of the city.
I never thought that such skyscrapers were built there.
- Our next port and our stop was in Cartagena. This is Columbia.
Cartagena is wonderful!
In Cartagena, everything is set up for tourists, the city literally lives on tourists and tourism activities.
And also Cartagena is the birthplace of emeralds, which are mined there.
Then we took a boat ride on the bay and looked at the city from the side.
I would never have thought that the city was rebuilt with skyscrapers.
- The next three days and three ports, these were the island territories of the Netherlands, and three islands.
Aruba island.
I can’t say anything about it, since we moored to this island in the evening, and in the evening we sailed from it.
In fact, we just walked around the place of restaurants and shops for tourists in the dark, in the evening, where they brought us - and nothing more.
- Our fifth port was on the island of Bonaire.
Here we looked at how salt is mined on the island.
There are also huts in which slaves once lived, extracting this salt.
And then we spent an hour and a half on the wonderful Sorobon beach.
- And the sixth and final port was on the island of Curacao.
Here we visited the famous distillery (tasting was also there).
And again we spent an hour and a half on the wonderful Mambo beach.
In addition to all these excursions, do not forget that life on the ship itself is in full swing.
Morning exercises, dances, various restaurants, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a Jacuzzi with a wonderful hydromassage, a graying masseurs, a constantly working casino, endless breakfasts, lunches, dinners that, in fact, do not end - all this makes the trip festive and wonderful!
