One of the coolest things about traveling is that the sense of wonder at beautiful scenery never seems to run out. It does not matter that we have already seen the same place once, twice, three times: if it is something impressive or incredible, it is impossible to avoid emotion. That was how I felt when I saw the Atuel Canyon again in the province of Mendoza, even though I had already seen it 4 years ago ❤️.
Una de las cosas más geniales que tiene viajar es que pareciera que la capacidad de asombro ante los paisajes hermosos nunca se agota. No importa que ya hayamos visto el mismo lugar una, dos, tres veces: si se trata de algo imponente o increíble es imposible evitar la emoción. Así fue como me sentí cuando volví a ver el Cañón del Atuel en la provincia de Mendoza, a pesar de que ya lo había conocido 4 años atrás ❤️.
Mendoza is recognized for being the province of mountains and snow. This makes it an eligible destination throughout the year because in the summer you can enjoy its rocky landscapes and bathe in all its lakes and in the winter the snow welcomes you with open arms. So, at any time you decide to go you will have a great time (and here my desire to see snow this year increases more and more) 😍.
Mendoza es reconocida por ser la provincia de las montañas y de la nieve. Esto la hace un destino elegible durante todo el año porque en el verano puedes deleitarte con sus paisajes rocosos y bañarte en todos sus lagos y en el invierno la nieve te recibe con los brazos abiertos. Entonces, en cualquier momento que decidas ir la pasaras genial (y aquí mis deseos de ver nieve este año aumentan más y más) 😍.
During the summer we visit the entire area of San Rafael, which is intended for adventure tourism but also attracts for its reservoirs and natural lakes. In an attempt to maintain the province with water reservoirs, the flow of the rivers accumulates in large areas, forming beautiful mirrors of turquoise water. These works of engineering are a true marvel and perfectly combine the genius of nature and human intelligence ❤️.
Durante el verano visitamos toda la zona de San Rafael, la cual está destinada al turismo aventura pero también atrae por sus embalses y lagos naturales. En un intento por mantener la provincia con reservorios de agua, se acumula el caudal del los ríos en extensas áreas formando bellos espejos de agua turquesa. Estas obras de ingeniería son una verdadera maravilla y combina perfectamente lo genial de la naturaleza y la inteligencia humana ❤️.
This is how the wonderful Embalse Grande was formed, a reservoir that accumulates water from the Atuel River and serves to supply water to the city. This entire area is one of the largest crop-producing areas in the country, so it's very important that you don't get dehydrated. And by the way, it works as the main attraction for tourism ❤️.
Así es como se formó el maravilloso Embalse Grande, un reservorio que acumula el agua proveniente del río Atuel y sirve para abastecer de agua a la ciudad. Toda esta área es una de las más grandes productoras de cultivos del país, por lo que es muy importante que no se deshidrate. Y de paso, funciona como atractivo principal para el turismo ❤️.
An interesting structure that was formed in this area of the reservoir is the so-called "submarine", generated after the flooding of this entire valley. Well, if we use our imagination a bit, the submarine is there and this is a postcard that you have to take from San Rafael ❤️.
Una estructura interesante que se formó en esta área del embalse es el llamado "submarino", generado tras la inundacuión de todo este valle. Bueno, si usamos un poco la imaginación, el submarino está ahí y esta es una postal que si o sí hay que llevarse de San Rafael ❤️.
Upon reaching this panoramic point on the side of the route, you can find a small craft fair to buy a souvenir of your trip. These pieces are mainly made of very attractive stones and the costs are not as high as one might think. I remember I bought a ring, but now I don't even know where it is 😂.
Al llegar a este punto panorámico al costado de la ruta puedes encontrarte con una pequeña feria de artesanías para comprarte un recuerdo de tu viaje. Estas piezas estan formadas principalmente de piedras muy atractivas y los costos no son tan elevados como podría llegarse a pensar. Recuerdo que me compré un anillo, pero ahora ya ni sé por donde está 😂.
Although I had been here before, it is impossible not to be mesmerized by the color of that water. It really is something amazing and I am glad that it serves in many aspects in this whole area. I also liked to visit this cool place with my friends, which we have never done before. They all added a very special touch to this trip and I'm glad it did ❣️.
Si bien yo ya había estado acá antes, es imposible no quedarse hipnotizado por el color de esa agua. Realmente es algo increíble y me alegro de que sirva en muchos aspectos en toda esta área. También me gustó visitar este lugar genial con mis amigas, cosa que nunca habíamos hecho antes. Todas ellas añadieron un toque muy especial a este viaje y me alegra que así haya sido ❣️.
This is one of the must-sees in Mendoza if you are interested in vacationing here. The city of San Rafael has its own airport, so it can be reached by plane or by bus. Of course, having a car would be ideal, but for us that was still not possible, so we hired an excursion that took us around. Luckily everything went well and we were able to enjoy this place for a good while 😃.
Este es uno de los imperdibles que hay en Mendoza si te interesa vacacionar por aquí. La ciudad de San Rafael tiene su propio aeropuerto, por lo que se puede llegar en avión o también en micro. Por supuesto tener auto sería lo ideal, pero para nosotras eso no fue posible aún así que contratamos una excursión que nos llevó a pasear por ahí. Por suerte salió todo bien y pudimos disfrutar de este lugar un buen rato 😃.
