Yeah they are great socks for hiking. Breathable and colorful to help with photos. I didn't see any stairs in the hotel but there must have been some somewhere. I didn't go exploring bc my wife waited outside and it did feel dangerous in there to me. I didn't want to take too big of a risk in a foreign country.
