Hoi An ancient town becomes shimmering and lit by thousands of colorful lanterns. This is an event"welcome national tourism year 2022".
Hello Hiver? How is your christmas? Now i would love to tell you a story about my christmas together with family and enjoy the night beauty of Hoi AN ancient town.

Hoi An has suffered from a pandemic 19 accompanied by floods in the past two years, , which significantly affects the tourism industry. This is one of the activities to wake up Hoi An after 2 years of This year's theme for this festival is" let's light up Hoi An together".As we know lanterns are one of the features of Hoi An, a traditional craft that creates famous lantern products. It has contributed to promoting and bringing Hoi An's image to the world.As we know lanterns are one of the features of Hoi An, a traditional craft that creates famous lantern products. It has contributed to promoting and bringing Hoi An's image to the world.We hope that the night will bring warm feelings, sharing and sympathy from the people of the city.

This festival is held at An Hoi Bridge, Bach Dang Street, Hoi An Ancient Town. The bridge connects the two banks of the old town separated by a poetic nostalgic river.

The meaning of Hoi An Lantern Festival

It also contains many meanings in culture and the daily life of the people here. Lanterns are a symbol of luck and peace for everyone. Beside we usually put paper lantern on the River for praying the peace and happy life.

What's attractive point of lantern festival in this year

Besides the lantern festival, this year to welcome Christmas and New Year's Eve, Hoi An has recreated the old daily life of the people here such as fishing scene, Bai Choi ..etc

Let's enjoy the beautiful poetic scenery through the fishing scene of the people reproduced next to the Hoai river .

Hoi An is located at the estuary, which is a river ecology. So fishing near the shore is one of the livelihoods of the people

Bai Choi-This is a cultural activity not to be missed when you visit Hoi An.

This is a unique art form of the central people. It breathes life into the game. Bai Choi is recognized by Unesco as an Intangible Cultural Heritage.
The folk songs and proverbs in the hut are highly educational and have been propagated for generations.

Besides, the festival also recreates the old life of the people, cyclo pullers, ao dai costumes..etc. Arousing in our hearts so much remembrance.

Japanese Bridge is a symbol of Hoi An tourism. The place contains the soul of the country and people of Hoi An. It has undergone 400 years of history, witnessed many ups and downs of the people here.It has a special ancient beauty. This is the place to stop and meet for merchants to exchange good.It has the combined architecture of many cultures.

you can admire the shimmering and fanciful beauty of this relic at the night time, this is one of the typical works of Hoi An.

Walking along the old town, you will see the image of artists sculpting rough bamboo roots into works of art. From inanimate bamboo roots, seemingly abandoned, but these artisans have turned these works into unique ones that everyone must admire and praise.Inanimate skillful hands create unbelievable shapes.

The children were lit with lanterns, along with shops, souvenir stalls were sold even though the number of customers was not crowded.

Oh we miss Hoi An so much!! It's a favourite spot for me and my Thai daughter to head to!. We saw & really enjoyed the lantern festival 2 years ago when we spent Christmas happily and An Bang beach and walking around Hoi An.

Following you from Chiang Mai, Thailand, and hoping to come meet you FOR REAL in the next 12 months when we can all travel more freely...
