The Carnac site was more busy then the Kerlscan location. At the latter, we were the only ones which was really cool. Some people/groups in France believe that the Carnac site should be completely open to the public without any restrictions. But the damage to the area from people making their own paths in and around the stones can be quite extensive. We saw this at another location where before and after photos were posted. The small fence at the Carnac site doesn't hinder your view in the slightest though and you still get very close up so I'm for the fence, personally.
