Hello everyone! Here I am again with another episode of my travel blogs. This time it’s’ about our very recent visit to my home place Kibawe, Bukidnon.
It was April 8, 2021 (Thursday) at around 5 in the morning when the whole family together with my sister’s family headed to Bukidnon from Cagayan de Oro and El Salvador City respectively.
We were so excited about the trip since it was quite some time already since our last visit to Kibawe, I mean I had a short trip to the same destination lately but not with the whole family.
So the reason why we decided to go home was that we will be joining the rest of my siblings with their respective families in celebrating or commemorating the death anniversary of my mother. Actually, it was a planned trip and thanks to God He made it realized at the perfect time and had blessed us with a sound exciting, and safe trip.
So we started our more or less 4 hours travel on the morning of April 8, 2021. It was cold since it was still early in the morning.
We had our breakfast at Malaybalay City, the first of the two cities that we will be passing by before reaching Kibawe. It was a good decision because if we continue without having our breakfast yet in Malaybalay, we will be having difficulty later on because when we reached Valencia City the traffic was so heavy, at least we had a full stomach during that time.
So in just a few hours we already reached our destination.
OUR DESTINATION: KIBAWE, BUKIDNON
Kibawe is where I was born, it is also the birthplace of the famous boxer and politician Manny Pacquiao. Kibawe is a second-class municipality in the province of Bukidnon and one of the most developing municipalities in the entire province.

Now after our visit to the resting place of my mother, we had our lunch at Pawan Resort located nearby. Actually, it is located in Sampagar, Damulog Bukidnon the next municipality after Kibawe going to Carmen, Cotabato.
It was part of the plan, we were also making use of the time because we are only allocating 2 days for such vacation. I know it was such a short holiday but it’s the only number of days that we can afford to spend there as we also have a lot of things to attend to here in Cagayan de Oro City like work and school.
Anyhow, as soon as we arrived in the area, my kids especially the youngest with his cousins went directly to the pool. While we were preparing for the food and even when we were already started eating, the kids were still enjoying the pool. I think it’s okay for them not to be able to eat as long as they are enjoying the water.
After few moments, the older ones were now in the pool while until almost all of us were already swimming under the heat of the sun. Unfortunately, I missed that one because I was having a body massage the day after and was prohibited to take a bath by our therapist. But it’s okay at least I was able to function as their photographer LOL.
Yes for the intention to use them on my blogs, I made hundreds of clicks both through my mobile phone and Nikon camera. But this time I am using those photos taken by my phone because my camera was left in Kibawe. Perhaps I will just create another blog about the same trip so I could use the photos taken by my camera.
So it was about 5 in the afternoon when we left the area, but prior to that we also had a singing session with my brother and relatives, that was really such a great moment.

Thanks! Bukidnon indeed is a very nice place, there are lots of stunning tourist spots to explore, I think given the time I’ll write more about Bukindon, my home sweet home, hopefully soon.
