Hello everyone, today I will take you to a particular part, actually a place opposite to the area devastated by a super typhoon that recently hit some part of Mindanao and Visayas here in the Philippines.
I know how hard it was for the residents of Dinagat Island, Siargao and even in the City of Surigao, not to mention those who were living in some parts of Cebu and Bohol and also Negros who were severely damaged also by the typhoon living traces of lifeless bodies everywhere, Odette’s casualties is now at 398 with a number still missing.
It was indeed a very horrible experience, I just can’t imagine the ordeal those little kids were going through and even those who are elderly.
I heard different stories, stories of people who survived even being exposed to the wrath of Odette, and truly even amidst those hardships, the presence of God was still there.
Now there’s a call to unite, and together share and extend our help to those who are affected, may they will find a console with those little things that we can give to them especially for their basic needs like rice and water.
What I was talking about earlier was the eastern portion of Surigao del Norte, which was heavily shattered by the typhoon, the other part of Surigao experienced only rains but thanks to God, they were spared.
And this is where I will take you now.
It was a long time plan already, to visit the place of my daughter’s fiancé, long time before the typhoon hits Surigao and other parts of the Philippines.
So my daughter and the team, (I think there were more than 20 of them) went to Surigao just a few days after the typhoon. I was a bit worried but they know the place very well more than I do so it’s okay and indeed, their travel was smooth and didn’t encounter any problems along the way.
They were destined to stay there for more than a week as planned and one of the places/spots they had visited is the
SEA PARK FISHPEN & RESORT (also known as "OASIS OF THE SEA").
The resort has a lot of wonderful things to offer to their guests, and as you can see in the photos, they seemed not affected by the typhoon. There was no sign of any damage brought by Odette.
Sea Park Fishpen and Resort is located in Sitio Bagikyan, Barangay Lactudan, Cagwait Surigao del Sur.
So this is actually the other side of Surigao. The other side is now still on the process of recovering.
What are the things that you can do in this beautiful Resort?
First, they have this Fish Cage where guests can feed different fishes. Catch and cook is also offered. So if you like fishing you will
surely enjoy your time in this place.They also have Kayak for rent, you can also have a water ride like a jetski and banana boat.
For little kids or even grown-ups they also have inflatable floats which I’m sure guests will enjoy.
Day Stay and overnight stay are also available, they have a total of 13 cottages
Basically, they don’t have much room for those who really want to stay overnight which is why it’s best to book in advance so you can secure your place on your desired date. But I don't really see any problem, just book at least a few weeks ago and you'll set to go without worries.
Indeed the place is one perfect place to stay, relax and unwind with the whole family or barkadas. It may be that far from Cagayan de Oro but I’m sure the moment spent is so worthwhile.
I will highly recommend this place if you will get the chance to visit the Philippines in the future. Maybe not this time but soon.
