[ENG] Hi there! It is a pleasure to greet you again. Today I want to talk to you about this residential / vacation complex, which I have visited since I can remember; Puerto del Mar, located on the Río Chico, Miranda state, Venezuela.
[ESP] ¡Hola! Es un placer saludarlos nuevamente. Hoy quiero hablarles de este conjunto residencial/vacacional, que he visitado desde que tengo uso de razón; Puerto del Mar, ubicado en el Río Chico, estado Miranda, Venezuela.

[ENG] This residential complex is part of the history of my life, since I spent many childhood vacations here, and even as an adult it is a place that I have visited with some regularity. And it has always been a place where I like to be, so much so that it is inevitable for me to remember its characteristic smell of the sea as I write these lines.
[ESP] Este conjunto residencial es parte de la historia de mi vida, pues muchas vacaciones de mi infancia las pasé aquí, y aún de adulto es un lugar que he visitado con alguna regularidad. Y es que desde siempre ha sido un lugar en el que me gusta estar, tanto así que es inevitable para mí recordar su característico olor a mar mientras escribo estas líneas.
[ENG] It is said that in Venezuela one of the best cocoas in the world is grown, and that happens in this region of the Miranda state. The inhabitants are so proud of this recognition that they even have a monument that makes reference to it. In addition, this sculpture has always been an indicator that we are reaching Río Chico and consequently Puerto del Mar.
[ESP] Se dice que en Venezuela se cultiva uno de los mejores cacaos del mundo, y eso ocurre en esta región del estado Miranda. Los habitantes están tan orgullosos de ese reconocimiento que incluso tienen un monumento que hace referencia a esto. Además, esta escultura siempre ha siempre ha sido un indicador de que estamos llegando a Río Chico y en consecuencia a Puerto del Mar.
[ENG] There are two things that are my favorites about this complex:
First, it has three large pools, each with its shallow section for children, this allows you to choose which pool you want to enjoy based on the number of bathers, the landscape, the depth of the pool, among some other items.
Second, you have access to the beach through a boat ride (owned by the complex) through a lagoon that is part of a series of lagoons and canals characteristic of Río Chico.
[ESP] Hay dos cosas que son mis favoritas de este complejo:
Primero, cuenta con tres amplias piscinas, cada una con su apartado poco profundo para los niños, esto permite que tengas la posibilidad de elegir qué piscina quieres disfrutar en función de la cantidad de bañistas, el paisaje, la profundidad de la piscina, entre algunos otros elementos.
Segundo, tiene acceso a la playa mediante un paseo en lancha (propia del conjunto) a través de una laguna que forma parte de una serie de lagunas y canales característicos de Río Chico.
[ENG] In addition, the complex has a multipurpose court, a space to play ping pong, a restaurant, a wine cellar, barbecue area and a small park for children.
[ESP] Además, el complejo cuenta con una cancha de usos múltiples, una espacio para jugar ping pong, un restaurante, una bodega, área de parrilleras y un pequeño parque para niños.
[ENG] In high season the place is usually full of visitors who rent the apartments, before the covid it was a time of year when you could see people passing through the entire complex, full pools and queues to take the boat to the beach. But in times of low season it is rare that there are more than five families in the whole place, so the facilities are practically for the exclusive enjoyment of a few people.
[ESP] En temporada de alta afluencia el lugar suele estar lleno de visitantes que alquilan los apartamentos, antes del covid era una época del año en la que se podía ver gente transitando por todo el complejo, piscinas llenas y colas para tomar la lancha a la playa. Pero en épocas de temporada baja es poco común que hayan más de cinco familias en todo el lugar, por lo que las instalaciones son prácticamente para el disfrute exclusivo de unas pocas personas.
[ENG] Now reflecting a bit, it is impressive to me that San Antonio (the place where I live) and Río Chico belong to the same state, Miranda. It impresses me because they are very different places in their landscapes, their inhabitants, their climate and even their gastronomy. This makes me appreciate even more the cultural richness of my country, Venezuela.
[ESP] Ahora reflexionando un poco, se me hace impresionante que San Antonio (el lugar en el que vivo) y Río Chico pertenezcan al mismo estado, Miranda. Me impresiona porque son lugares muy distintos en sus paisajes, sus habitantes, su clima e incluso su gastronomía. Esto me hace apreciar aún más la riqueza cultural de mi país, Venezuela.
[ENG] I want you to enjoy learning about the existence of this place, and I hope that if any reader has the opportunity to visit it, they will do so and enjoy it as I have done during my life.
