Hello, friends. A few days ago I had the opportunity to do something I haven't done for eight years: go back to Zaza del Medio. This small town, which takes its name from a river that flows on one side, has a special charm that I always remembered from my first and only visit so far.
The first time I set foot in this place was when my sister turned 15. I remember that we came with the intention of taking some quinceañera pictures in a photography salon that existed in this place. Since then, Zaza del Medio was engraved in my memory, although I only had vague memories.
What stands out most about this place are the impressive natural views that can be appreciated just a few meters away from The combination of plains and majestic mountains creates a landscape that really impresses. From the moment you enter the town, the first thing you notice are some buildings dating from colonial and republican times. And in the center, there is a simple promenade that covers half of the town.
From my previous visit, I had vague memories of a park with leafy trees that provided shade and freshness. The only memory I had. This time, I realized that Zaza del Medio is much more than that. I had to make a saying come true: by asking you get to Rome. In the end I got my bearings and was able to find this place again. It was just as I remembered it. A quiet park with plenty of shade.
I was surprised at how clean everything was. It is something that is not very common in Cuba, but Zaza del Medio stands out for keeping its streets and public spaces impeccable. That detail speaks volumes about the love and care that exists in this community.
Coming back to this place made me feel very good. I was able to recall parts of the memories of that first visit. This place managed to catch my attention, and I will surely visit it again in the future to continue enjoying its beauty and tranquility.
