Hello, Worldmappin! It's great to be back here; I missed this community and am excited to share my recent travel to Bukidnon. I was amazed by what I discovered during my visit. I traveled for about one hour and twenty-five minutes to get there, and I had planned this trip carefully, as it was the only day I had available. So, without further ado, let me tell you about this iconic place I discovered. I saw a lot of vintage cars—timeless masterpieces that continue to captivate and inspire the hearts of many, including mine. When I hear the term "vintage cars," my interest is piqued, and I want to see them with my own eyes to experience the essence of these classic vehicles and their designs.

One of the cars I encountered was a light blue Chevrolet. Its detailed design complemented the blue flooring beautifully.

The vintage cars are parked and displayed in an open space, and there's also a restaurant that resembles a museum, filled with old items.

One highlight was a 1947 Chevrolet Stylemaster, which is a burgundy or maroon color. It’s quite old, but it looks like it has been restored and well-maintained by the staff.

I also saw a 1968 Buick Riviera. This car is primarily red, and its design features a very thin grille and bumper, giving it a classic sedan look.

There was another car that didn’t have a model name displayed, and I have to admit, I didn’t care for its body style. The bright green color wasn’t to my taste.

However, I did like another car with a cool design and color. I imagined that driving it in the city would make you a head-turner. Look below, he also likes this vintage car.

The Ford Fairlane 500 Skyliner is a two-door full-size retractable hardtop convertible, manufactured and marketed by Ford Motor Company for model years 1957–1959. However, early into the 1959 model year, its name was expanded to Fairlane 500 Galaxie Skyliner.[2] The retracting roof system was marketed as the Hide-Away Hardtop, and was exclusively sold on this Ford-branded model, for three model years. source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Fairlane_500_Skyliner

The seats looked brand new and were quite comfortable, though I noticed they didn’t have seatbelts—probably because they hadn’t been implemented back in the day. The long bumper provided an extra layer of protection; you wouldn’t feel cramped if you were hit from the front or back.

There was also a car that looked quite unique—almost like an alien spaceship. The design of the 1968 Cadillac DeVille was sleek, and it was a stunning turquoise blue—definitely another head-turner.

One of the highlights was a cute Volkswagen Beetle that looked recently repainted. It reminded me of the movie "Herbie: Fully Loaded," which I found hilarious. They even gave it blue headlights that resembled the character from the film, and it had the famous number 53.

When I saw a Volkswagen T2 bus, I immediately thought of the cartoon movie "Scooby-Doo." This classic hippie van, also known as a camper van, featured a peace symbol and colorful flower designs, capturing the spirit of the 1960s. I wouldn’t mind riding in this vintage minivan; I think it’s cool.

Another interesting piece was an old Mobilgas pump machine, a classic memorabilia item. The nozzle looked vintage, and you could still see the amount dispensed in liters, with prices marked in centavos. It was fascinating to see how different this was from today’s digital gas pumps, as this one was operated manually with mechanical numbers.

Next, I stepped inside Jessie's Diner, a place that felt like a museum filled with classic photos, Beetle memorabilia, and much more.

Before entering, I saw a giant bottle cap showcasing classic memorabilia. The flooring featured a distinctive black-and-white checkered pattern, giving the restaurant a unique atmosphere.

The interior had a strong classic theme, showcasing elements from the diner era along with tributes to The Beatles. It created a nostalgic atmosphere that I truly appreciated. I even spotted a jukebox, which was my first time seeing one in person. This jukebox had a retro design; the glass cover allowed me to see the mechanism inside, and it still used compact discs, which gave it a slightly modern touch while the framed pictures maintained a vintage feel.

The owner of this restaurant seems to be a big fan of The Beatles, as their music was iconic throughout the 1960s and continues to resonate with younger generations today. I personally enjoy their songs, especially "Hey Jude" and "Let It Be."

In the diner, I also noticed probably 1960s vintage telephones and an old town clock.

This one reminds me of the 1990s. You’d find these telephones in booths, where you would insert coins to make a call.

Lastly, I found it interesting to glimpse what life was like in the past. An old general repair shop caught my eye. While I’m not sure what year it dates back to, it likely harks from the 1960s or 70s—before color photos were commonplace. The fact that they preserved this machine as a piece of memorabilia is a testament to how much things have changed over time.

This concludes my wonderful trip to this place, and I had an amazing time. To visit, there is an entrance fee of 3 HBD per person. You are welcome to take as many pictures as you like, and you can also enjoy coffee or snacks at the diner, which will cost you a bit extra.

Thank you for reading my blog, and I look forward to seeing you next time!

Ciao!

Nice shots, Teach! I so love it here in Dahilayan. The owner really preserves the machines they used for the repairs. I am so into vintage. I also have pictures of me there. hehe .
