Edinburgh "The End" Deu/Eng

in Worldmappinlast month

Hallo liebe Community,

Al

Hello dear community,
So after picking up our suitcases from the hotel, we still had plenty of time before our flight home in the afternoon. We went to the St. James Quarter, a shopping center on Princess Street, and strolled past the shops. Upon arrival, we treated ourselves to a Krispy Kreme donut because our son told us they were the best in the world. I couldn't tell the difference between it and Dunkin' Donuts in the US.

Since there wouldn't be any food on the return flight due to the short flight, we stopped at a Mexican restaurant and ate some incredibly delicious burritos. On the way back to the train station, we walked the entire length of Princess Street again and enjoyed the beautiful day on the lawn at the Sir Walter Scott memorial with a view of Edinburgh's Old Town.

When we later boarded the plane and took off for Germany, I was truly happy and satisfied with our short trip to Scotland. It was beautiful and very educational. On my list of short trips and city breaks, I would rank this one right up there in the top 5, along with Finland, Rome, and Vienna.

Best regards and see you soon, Yours,
Al
