Hallo liebe Community,
warum in die Ferne schweifen, wenn das Gute liegt so nah. So oder so ähnlich habe ich wohl gedacht, als ich mich auf machte zu einem kleinen Citytrip nach Frankfurt.
Frankfurt oder auch Mainhattan genannt hat so viel zu bieten. Wolkenkratzer wie in Amerika, eine wunderschöne Altstadt, Konzerte in der Alten Oper, das Waldstadion ( ja ich nenne es noch immer so, egal welche bank gerade die Namensrechte besitz ) wo Eintracht Frankfurt seine Heimspiele austrägt, unzählige Museen oder die Parkanalagen rund um das Mainufer.
Eine tolle Stadt um dort zu leben. Allerdings ist dies nicht ganz billig. Bei den Wohnungspreisen hier können sich das sicher die wenigsten leisten. Aber die Stadt ist nunmal nicht nur schön sondern auch Finanzplatz Nummer 1 in ganz Europa. Und die Banker, Börsenhändler etc. wollen ja auch irgendwo wohnen, das treibt natürlich die Preise in die Höhe.
Der ganz große Bigpoint von Frankfurt ist für mich, dass hier immer etwas los ist. Kein Tag in der Woche, an dem nicht ein Konzert, ein Fest oder etwas ähnliches angesagt ist. Und wenn tatsächlich mal nichts ansteht, geht man in den Stadtteil Sachsenhausen in eine der urigen Kneipen dort und trinkt gemütlich mit ein paar Freunden den ein oder anderen Bembel.
Für alle unkundigen unter Euch: Ein Bembel ist ein Steinkrug gefüllt mit der Frankfurter Spezialität schlechthin, dem guten Äbbelwoi ( Apfelwein ). Schmeckt herrlich egal ob pur, sauer gespritzt mit Mineralwasser oder süß gespritzt mit Fanta. Auf jeden Fall probieren, wenn Ihr mal in frankfurt sein solltet.
In jedem Fall immer wieder ein gelungener Ausflug bei dem jeder auf seine Kosten kommen sollte. Ich freue mich schon auf meinen nächsten Trip dorthin und der wird schon bald stattfinden. Zum Weihnachtsmarkt nämlich, der im November startet. Das ist immer ein Highlight und auch der Frankfurter Glühwein sucht bekanntlich seinesgleichen.

why go far away, when the good is so close. So or so I probably thought when I set off for a little city trip to Frankfurt.
Frankfurt or also called Mainhattan has so much to offer. Skyscrapers like in America, a beautiful old town, concerts in the old opera, the forest stadium (yes I still call it that way, no matter which bank owns the naming rights) where Eintracht Frankfurt plays its home games, countless museums or the Parkanalagen around the banks of the Main.
A great city to live in. However, it is not cheap. With the housing prices here, surely the fewest can afford it. But the city is not only beautiful but also financial center number 1 in Europe. And the bankers, stock traders, etc. also want to live somewhere, which of course drives up prices.
The big point of Frankfurt for me is that there is always something going on here. There is not a day in the week when there is not a concert, a festival or something similar. And if there's nothing going on, you can go to one of the quaint pubs in the Sachsenhausen district and drink a Bembel or two with a few friends.
For all of you who are not familiar with the term: A Bembel is a stone jug filled with the Frankfurt specialty par excellence, the good Äbbelwoi (apple wine). Tastes delicious no matter whether pure, sour sprayed with mineral water or sweet sprayed with Fanta. In any case try, if you should be times in Frankfurt.
In any case, always a successful trip where everyone should get their money's worth. I am already looking forward to my next trip there and it will take place soon. To the Christmas market namely, which starts in November. That is always a highlight and also the Frankfurt Glühwein is known to be unparalleled.
