Despertamos muy contentas, tomamos nuestro desayuno y nos dispusimos a conocer la Playa Pocitos, ubicada a orillas del Río de la Plata en el barrio del mismo nombre, y que bordea completamente la rambla República del Perú.
Being from the Caribbean, none of us had ever been to a beach with so many warm clothes on and much less with so much cold, but that day we had an incredible time. According to a city resident, this and other nearby beaches are very active and visited by bathers during the summer season.
Siendo del caribe, ninguna de las que estábamos en ese viaje, habíamos ido a una playa con tanta ropa abrigada y mucho menos con tanto frío, pero ese día nos divertimos increíblemente. Según nos comentó un citadino, esa y otras playas cercanas son muy activas y visitadas por bañistas en época de verano.
We approached the shore and took many photos, from all possible angles and also jumping, I really enjoyed it. At one point I approached the water and put my hand in it just to check what I was already imagining, the water was really cold.
Nos acercamos a la orilla y tomamos muchas fotos, de todos los ángulos posibles y también saltando, realmente lo disfruté. En un momento me acerqué al agua y metí mi mano solo para comprobar lo que ya me imaginaba, el agua estaba realmente fría.
After that walk, it was time for lunch, so we went to a nice restaurant and ordered some pizzas and beers, I remember that I liked the idea of having the one-liter beer presentation, which in my country you can't get.
Después de ese paseo, era hora de almorzar, así que pasamos por un agradable restaurante y ordenamos algunas pizzas y cervezas, recuerdo que me gustaba la idea de ver una presentación de cerveza de un litro, cosa que en mi país no se consigue.
After lunch, we visited the fountain of the locks, on the corner of Facal Bar, where it is said that lovers make eternal love pacts.
Después de almuerzo, visitamos la fuente de los candados, en la esquina del Bar Facal, donde se dice que los enamorados hacen pactos de amor eterno.
We continued to Plaza de los 33 Orientales, also known as the Firemen Plaza. In the square you found handicraft and gastronomic stands, as well as street artists who enliven the square and make the atmosphere more enjoyable.
Seguimos hacia la Plaza de los 33 Orientales, también conocida como Plaza de los Bomberos. En la plaza se encuentran stands artesanales y gastronómicos, así como artistas callejeros que animan la plaza y hacen el ambiente más disfrutable.
That magical adventure in Montevideo was coming to an end, it was time to pack our bags because at night we would leave for Buenos Aires.
On that ferry back to Buenos Aires, I saw my friends, my mother and my best friend and I thought we were very lucky, mainly because we could strengthen our friendship and that complicity allowed us to enjoy that journey through the south of the continent. It was really a lovely trip.
Aquella mágica aventura por Montevideo ya estaba llegando a su fin, era hora de hacer nuestras maletas pues en la noche partiríamos a Buenos Aires.
En aquel ferri de regreso a Buenos Aires veía a mis compañeras, a mi mamá a mi mejor amiga y pensaba que éramos muy afortunadas, principalmente por poder estrechar nuestros lazos de amistad y esa complicidad nos permitía disfrutar aquella travesía por el sur. Realmente fue un viaje encantador.

¡Muy buen tour el que nos diste por Montevideo! Es realmente extraño ver playas que no reflejen el azul del cielo y que sean frías. Me pareció precioso el quiosco de golosinas en la Plaza de Los 33. Bellas fotos. Saludos y bendiciones.
Así es, es extraño no ver el azul del mar, sin embargo debo decir que también tiene su encanto y peculiaridad. Montevideo es una ciudad muy hermosa y tranquila. Gracias por pasar a leer mi post y dejarme un comentario.
