I have been there about 15 years ago, feels life a lifetime has passes since. At that time it wasn't too busy but now with all the people flocking through Japan it must be quite different. Anyways, I am glad you enjoyed strolling through this great place of Kyoto. And now Nara, you definitely chose a good time for a visit, I curious to see what Nara park looks like these days and if the autumn foliage has already arrived there.

Autumn is late this year in Japan. I am staying in Nara for a couple to days to avoid the Kyoto crowds. They do show up here mid-day, but mornings and evenings are peaceful.

Yes, it is late. Leaves are still quite green over here, just started to change the color. If the winter will be late as well, then I will be more than happy!
