There are so many tourist objects here, so many beautiful attractions are abandoned and not maintained. Really love it
Tourist destinations in the city of Banda Aceh which we will discuss next is about the beauty of Bukit Soeharto. Soeharto Hill is located in Lamreh Village, Great Mosque of Aceh Besar District, Aceh Province. It was named Bukit Soeharto because Aceh had experienced an internal conflict, so that the 2nd President of the Republic of Indonesia, namely Mr. Suharto and his ministers, came to this hill directly to inaugurate the villa here, but now the existence of this villa has been destroyed due to an attack bombs. so that all that remains today are the remains of the buildings.
From the top of this hill we can see views of the cool lush forest and Malahayati Harbor which is very beautiful when viewed from the top of this Soeharto hill. The best time when visiting here is during the day, this is because most of the beaches are beaches, very hot, so if you visit this hill, there are many shady trees on this hill, the calm wind makes you sleepy and the state of the place is calm. not noisy, nice and safe views make us feel at home for long visiting this place.
From the top of this hill, we can get not only views of Malahayati Harbor, but also historical relics in this Soeharto hill area. Historical relics that we can find are former villas that were hit by a bomb during the Aceh conflict and the existence of cannons that are no longer used. The Suharto hill area is also very wide so you can park freely in this place, and look for a cool view according to your taste.
To be able to visit Soeharto Hill, you need to bring your own food and drinks because there is no canteen here, the canteen here is often closed, this is because there are rarely visitors to Soeharto Hill, except for visitors from outside the city like us. Because when we came to this place, this place was very quiet and there were only the two of us on this hill, like a hill that was designated only for the two of us (dreaming to be Sultan 😄😄).
The distance from Banda Aceh City Center to Soeharto hill is about 30 minutes when we drive a two-wheeled vehicle.
