The Night Comes Alive

Last holiday while driving on our way home, we saw the Historical Aguinaldo Shrine come to life with colorful lights. The lights are impossible to resist and call to you like a moth to a flame. We made a u-turn and return to the shrine as the colorful lights have captured our curiosity. Take a walk with us again today as we share with you how the night comes alive at the mansion.

A historic place that we visited and if you missed the previous part and would like to see the inside you could check it on the links below.

Memories from the Late 1800s • Aguinaldo Shrine (Part II)

This place is called Freedom Park located at Kawit Cavite Philippines and night people gather here to relax and just enjoy the display of lights that shines on the mansion. This place used to be quiet and empty at night but now has become a destination for local and out of towners alike.

During the daytime, the mansion looks to be very serious and formal. As the sun goes down it is completely transformed by the psychedelic lights that glow and change every second. According to the mayor of the town, the lights are a symbol of strength and hope as the pandemic rages on.

During the Spanish era the mansion was a symbol of hope and today it still symbolizes hope in a modern way. I was impressed by the design of the projection of lights but I am not sure who thought about it. Every year during the holiday season the designs are always different but this time it is the best.

As the night goes deeper more people come to the park to witness the spectacle. To ensure health and safety for every one police are deployed around the park. They make sure people are still following the health protocols since there are a lot of people.

Not only are lights projected on the mansion but also different parts of the ground area. The lights are meant to be festive but somehow I feel that I am in a rave party or maybe it's just me.

Even the iconic monument of General Aguinaldo has red lights being projected and almost looks painted.

With the beautiful design of lights that looks like Christmas lanterns, this spot has been popular for people to take selfies. At this point, I'm not sure where my wife and daughter went as we all have been distracted by the lights.

Three people dressed up and took this opportunity to make a quick buck for a photo. I saw another one of them around here somewhere but these two are are a hit with the visitors.

The park also allowed food vendors and other stuff like toys to be sold. One thing that is missing though are souvenirs from the mansion, I didn't see any and I am sure they would sell.

A lone ice cream vendor with the traditional pushcart. There are four flavors often sold in these types of a pushcart.

After this visit, I imagined what would Aguinaldo think of the lights if he was still alive. Will he like it or would he prefer the formal spotlights at night? But since the mayor of this town is his great-grandson he probably would like it.

Thanks for joining us today and I hope you enjoyed the lights show.
Stay safe and hope to see you again soon.

This is an interesting take on how to bring out the beauty of an old house at night. The lights make it more fun and full of energy. Nice of Aguinaldo's great grandson to be able to keep the memory of his great grand father alive.

!PIZZA

Every year is different but this so far has outdone the past years. They always make this place stand out. Before they even had food stalls here. I made a content about it years ago.

That's nice. We have a similar thing going on. I got part of it last Saturday.
Still have yet to check out the rest.

Hey @ace108. That is cool I want to see. Looks like everyone is starting to get busy there for Chinese new year. Feb 1 correct?

It was like a party there. The vibe was so alive.
