In 2019 we were on vacation in California for 3 weeks. Our home base was north of San Franscico in the Nappa Valley. We didn't miss the opportunity to take a trip to Yosemite National Park.
We set off very early in our Tahoe and were looking forward to seeing the redwood trees.
It was a mega impressive experience. I could imagine what it might be like from pictures, but was still impressed by the gigantic dimensions.
What gigantic trees.
We spent the whole day driving around and enjoying nature. Very impressive.
But the damage caused by forest fires could not be overlooked either.
One day was actually too short to see everything. But that still leaves plenty for the next trip.
2019 waren wir für 3 Wochen in Kalifornien im Urlaub. Unsere Homebase war nördlich von San Franscico im Nappa Valley. Da haben wir es uns nicht nehmen lassen und einen Ausflug in den Yosemite National Park zu machen.
Wir sind sehr früh mit unserem Tahoe losgefahren und haben uns auf die Mammut Bäume gefreut.
Es war ein Mega beeindruckendes Erlebnis. Ich konnte mir zwar aus Bilder vorstellen wie es sein könnte, war aber dann doch über die gigantischen Abmessungen dann doch beeindruckt.
Was für gigantische Bäume.
Wir sind dann den ganzen Tag dort umhergefahren und haben die Natur genossen. Sehr beeindruckend.
Aber auch die Schäden durch Waldbrände waren nicht zu übersehen.
Ein Tag war eigentlich zu wenig, um alles zu sehen. Aber so bleibt für den nächsten Trip noch viel übrig.
