2019 haben wir es nach längerer Planung geschafft und sind mit der Familie nach Jamaica geflogen. 3 Wochen in der Karibik sind schon was Besonderes. Die erste Woche waren wir im Westen von Jamaica in Negril. Die 2. Woche waren wir bei dem Vater von meiner Frau. In der 3. Woche sind wir dann weiter nach Port Antonio, wo wir bei einer guten Freundin geschlafen haben.

Der kleine Fluss mündet direkt in die Bucht. Es macht auch richtig Spaß darin zu schwimmen. Gerade für kleinere Kinder ist es eine sehr gute Alternative. Man glaubt gar nicht wie stark die Wellen an manchen Tagen sind in der Frenchman's Bucht.

Sollte man Port Antonio besuchen sollte man sich auf jeden Fall den Hafen und natürlich diese wundervolle Bucht anschauen. Hat man Frenchman ’s Cove erreicht läuft man durch eine sehr schöne, gepflegte Parkanlage. Der Eintritt kostet 10 US Dollar. Man läuft auch an dem Fluss vorbei, der dann in die Bucht mündet. Toiletten sind vorhanden, Liegen können günstig gemietet werden. Ein Restaurant ist auch da. Die Preise sind angemessen. Speisen soll man nicht mit bringen, was ich ein Stück weit schade finde.
