Hey wanderers! How are you? It's me Marinel, minelwanders20 taking you into a new travel experience. It's been a while since I've posted another travel journey because of the very busy schedules. And finally, here I am today sharing with you my three (3) days vacay journey at the West, Northern end of Cebu - Bantayan Island. Please bare with me as I narrating the details of this trip. I'm so excited to share it with you 😅 Shall I begin?
This trip was carefully planned by me and my family. It was planned way 10 months ago, since we need an extra fund for this we decided to have a sinking fund so that our cousins that still studying can also go with us. Every month we need to contribute at least five hundred pesos but it also depends on their extra money since my cousins are still studying. So let's move forward to our travel itinerary.
- First thing first from our house we rent a van to send us in the Hagnaya Port. This trip will take 4-5 hours depending on the traffic.
- From Hagnaya Port, we take a boat/ferry to reach Santa Fe on Bantayan Island and from their we took a tricycle to take us to our rented room.
When we got to our rented room, we just take a nap and rest because we had a very long drive, and we're so exhausted from the big waves of the ocean. We got seasick during the trip. After 3 hours of taking a nap, we decided to explore the place. Since we're just near from their market and to their plaza, it's just easy for us to roam around. We just take a walk and talking, we also did some taking of pictures from the beauty of the place. Browsing through the stalls along the roadside. It has a a lot of cute stuffs and delicious foods they we're selling. We're so entertained with everything we saw.
When we are roaming around, we saw this cute stuff they are selling. And we liked it, so me and my mother bought this cute bag. We're just so happy that we had a souvenir from Bantayan Island. After, we were browsing through the rows of stores again. Bantayan Island has a lot of good and cute stuffs for sale. When you go to this place, just prepare enough and extra money to bought some souvenirs.
After roaming around, my husband felt tired and he sat down at this spot. We're so busy looking and taking pictures of the place so I didn't notice that he sat down here. So I looked for him, and here he is. When I saw him, I told him to pose because I will took a picture but look at his face, he didn't even smile maybe because he was already tired from all the walking we did earlier. 😅 He is not fun of walking, but he doesn't have a choice since everyone of us wants to roam and explore the place, that's why. 🤣
At the next day, in our second day itinerary, early in the morning we took a boat to reach Virgin Island. I think it took us about 20-30 minutes boat ride. The boat ride itself gives you scenic and stunning view of the ocean and other islets. This trip has never been boring since we enjoyed every minute of this ride. We talked and laughed at unnecessary things making ourselves comfortable for the whole journey. If you were with the perfect person and gullible company, the travel would be a memorable one.
I can already see the island. The view and the wholesome of the island is indeed a breathtaking. The white sand, the relaxing view, and the crystal water is very amazing. I am so excited to go on a swim and enjoy the beautiful scenery. I already know that I will be having a great time here.
As we landed, I immediately took a picture to have a remembrance of the beautiful place. And I saw this spot, I think this is perfect for the picture taking. And they had this cute props that says " I'm too sexy" 😅 and of course even if I'm not, I used it in taking my photos. 🤣

My mother asked me to take a photo of her. She rarely asked for a picture taking, so that I can say that it is really a beautiful face. And she really likes it here. And I agree with that thought. It is really a magical place. It can really ease the negative thoughts and gives a relaxing feeling.

Of course we wouldn't want to miss this opportunity to take this picture with my husband. We don't know if we can go back her and if we will have another chance since it was so far and needs to be planned. We need to have a lot of extra money and time to have this travel journey again. 😅 But since we're here, we will just enjoy and treasure this moment until it lasts.
After all the photo opportunity of the place, we go for a swim. This time, we enjoyed the beautiful scenery, the pearly white sand and the crystal water.
After all the swim and think we had our best time here, we decided to go back in our resort rented. And that's when we feel that we are already tired. So after we ate our dinner, we immediately took a rest and call it a day.
Early in the morning as we woke up, we go to their market to buy something that we can cook for our breakfast. Only me, my mother and cousins are buying since other members are still having their deep sleep. We wouldn't want to bother them so that we just let them be. And it's beneficial for us since we can have enough time to prepare breakfast for everyone.
So after we had our breakfast, we got ready to go home. We packed all our things and bid goodbye to the place. And the rest is history. 😅

I have been to Bantayan twice but never got to visit Virgin Island. Might go there on my next visit.
