Any trip is a holiday that is forever in your memory
I look out of the window of the hospital ward through the frost-patterned glass at the streets swept by a blizzard. Frankly, even this weather does not bother me, and I would gladly go on a winter trip. I have some interesting ideas. I want to visit a couple of interesting ancient cities that are located north of my place of residence. But while these are only dreams, it will be later. Until then, I am not allowed to leave the closed block ...
But no one can limit a person's ability to leave a limited space mentally! By creating a post, remembering the images and impressions of that past trip, I will be able to break through time and space again ...
The bay of Marmaris is really a pearl, it is an amazing wonderful gift that man has inherited from nature. I am forced to note that the implementation and use of this unique place cannot be an example to follow. The fantastic landscape is used casually and primitively. The architectural development is chaotic and random. It is noticeable that the region did not have and does not have its own architectural and urban planning policy. It is possible that the authorities have no idea about this at all.
Guests of this region can give such frank assessments, comparing the implementation of this resort with similar places in Europe, Asia and even in Africa. In my opinion, Italians and Scandinavians have achieved particular success in realizing the natural features of the landscape. The former have learned to emphasize and enhance the trump cards of the surrounding landscape in the most beneficial way, while the latter are distinguished by maximum tact and minimal impact on the natural environment.
Perhaps the only bright spot in the architectural appearance of the resort is the remains of the citadel and the old Greek settlement, whose curving picturesque streets invariably attract crowds of tourists. It is clear that the content of the ancient heritage is a huge burden, which very often hangs with an unbearable burden on its owners. And how to find that balance between preserving the historical heritage and thus making the notorious profit?
Hotel buildings on the coast are conventionally divided into two parts, urban and landscape. About a dozen hotels are built on the picturesque pine slopes of the bay. In my opinion, these are the most interesting and original objects. We got great pleasure living in one of them. The indescribable microclimate of pine groves, aromas of flowers, birdsong and a cozy promenade ... and if it were not for the lumbering highway and night disco, this could be called paradise.
The most unpleasant feature of recreation in that region is the dislike of the local population for silence. The scourge of the Turkish coast is noise. Disgusting, unbearably loud night discos are an indispensable attribute of a Turkish resort. I once tried to find a hotel without the obligatory nightly music and noise torture. But the agent said that he was powerless to help me find such a hotel. The special pride of Turkish guides (by the way, an amazingly unpleasant human type!) Is the street of night music bars in Marmaris. There, the level of cacophony reaches unimaginable decibels.
We visited Marmaris at the height of the pandemic. To our great joy, the authorities banned all discos and closed night music bars. How beautiful the city is without these disgusting establishments!
Since I am an avid diving fan, I can't help but pay a little attention to this type of entertainment. The underwater picture of the bay is certainly not as picturesque and rich as in other tropical seas. But the clear waters of the bay and its underwater landscape are perfect for getting a little pleasure for an experienced diver or for starting diving for the first time. Especially you can be pleased with rather reasonable prices for services. In addition, no one will forbid you to arrange a real oriental bazaar when discussing the price. For example, we were able to get the price for two dives with lunch at $15. Of course, no one guarantees you against traditional oriental tricks and fuck ups while performing prepaid services ...
With extra luck, you can spot an octopus on the seabed, and with even more luck, you can even spot a turtle. Your main task is to prevent the local guide from making a circus performance out of the dive. Very often Turkish dive guides start trying to show idiotic circus tricks. It all looks ridiculous and is just a waste of your time. If you have made an appointment for underwater photography, make an appointment upstairs in advance how the guide will film you. Immediately knock the thought of organizing a portrait photo session out of his empty head! Why do you need these ridiculous portraits with bulging eyes and ridiculous facial expressions? Get him to shoot the surrounding underwater landscape, and you in the background. Let him shoot you from the side or from above! This will be an optimal and comprehensive visual report of your dive!
We have not been able to avoid pitfalls. For example, a pre-arranged lunch turned out to be fiction. We were handed a piece of stale baguette wrapped in cellophane that included some wilted salad and what looked like minced meat. With our underwater services in general, we were able to maintain control. We carefully controlled the time and the guide. Each dive lasted about an hour.
But the situation at the top got out of the control of the owners. Funny, the dive boat's motor broke. The owner of the ship was extremely angry. He really wanted to get back early. We were absolutely calm. Great weather, crystal clear water and plenty of time until sunset. We enjoyed the sun and the sea ...

Я смотрю из окна больничной палаты сквозь покрытые морозным узором стёкла на заметаемые метелью улицы. Не скрою, даже такая погода не смущает меня, и я с удовольствием отправился бы в зимнее путешествие. У меня есть несколько интересных идей. Я хочу посетить пару интересных городов, которые находятся севернее моего места жительства. Но пока это только мечты, потому что пока мне не разрешается покидать закрытый блок...
Но никто не может ограничить человека в возможности покинуть ограниченное пространство мысленно! Создавая пост, вспоминая образы и впечатления того минувшего путешествия, я смогу снова прорваться сквозь время и пространство...
Бухта Мармариса - действительно является жемчужиной, это удивительный прекрасный дар доставшийся человеку от природы. Вынужден отметить, реализация и использование этого уникального места не может являться примером для подражания. Фантастический ландшафт использован небрежно и примитивно. Архитектурная застройка хаотична и случайна. Заметно, что регион не имел и не имеет своей собственной архитектурно-градостроительной политики. Вполне возможно, что власти вообще не имеют об этом понятия.
Гости этого региона могут давать столь откровенные оценки, сравнивая реализацию данного курорта с подобными местами в Европе, Азии и даже в Африке. На мой взгляд особенных успехов в реализации природных особенностей ландшафта достигли итальянцы и скандинавы. Первые научились максимально выгодно подчеркивать и усиливать козыри окружающего ландшафта, а вторые - отличаются максимальным тактом и минимальным воздействием на природную среду.
Пожалуй, единственное светлое пятно в архитектурном облике курорта - это остатки цитадели и старого греческого поселения, изогнутые живописные улочки которого неизменно привлекают толпы туристов. Понятно, что содержание древнего наследия - это огромная нагрузка, которая очень часто висит неподъемным грузом на её владельцах. И как же найти тот баланс между сохранением исторического наследия и тем самым пресловутым получением прибыли?
Отельная застройка побережья условно делится на две части, на городскую и ландшафтную. Около десятка отелей выстроены на живописных сосновых склонах бухты. На мой взгляд это самые интересные и оригинальные объекты. Мы получили огромное наслаждение проживая в одном из них. Непередаваемый микроклимат сосновых рощ, ароматы цветов, пение птиц и уютный променад... и если бы не громыхающее шоссе и ночное диско, это можно было бы назвать раем.
Самая неприятная особенность отдыха в том регионе - это нелюбовь местного населения к тишине. Бич турецкого побережья - шум. Отвратительные, невыносимо громкие ночные дискотеки являются непременным атрибутом турецкого курорта. Однажды я попытался найти отель без обязательной ночной музыкально-шумовой пытки. Но агент заявил, что бессилен помочь мне найти подобный отель. Особая гордость турецких гидов (кстати, удивительно неприятный человеческий тип!) - это улица ночных музыкальных баров Мармариса. Там уровень какофонии достигает немыслимых децибелов.
Мы посетили Мармарис в разгар пандемии. К нашей великой радости властями были запрещены все дискотеки и закрыты ночные музыкальные бары. Как же прекрасен город без этих отвратительных заведений!
Поскольку я являюсь страстным поклонником дайвинга, то не могу не уделить немного внимания данному виду развлечений. Подводная картина бухты конечно же не так живописна и насыщенна, как в иных тропических морях. Но прозрачная вода бухты и ее подводный пейзаж вполне подходят для того, чтобы получить немного удовольствий опытному дайверу или для того, что начать заниматься дайвингом в первый раз. Особенно вас могут порадовать довольно разумные цены на услуги. Кроме того, никто не запретит вам устроить при обсуждении цены настоящий восточный базар. Для примера, мы смогли получить цену за два погружения с ланчем в 15$. Разумеется, никто не гарантирует вас от традиционных восточных трюков и подвохов при исполнении заранее оплаченных услуг...
При особой удаче вы сможете увидеть на морском дне осьминога, а при ещё большей удаче вы можете встретить даже черепаху. Основная ваша задача - это не дать местному гиду устроить из погружения цирковое представление. Очень часто турецкие дайвгиды начинают пытаться показывать идиотские цирковые фокусы. Выглядит всё это нелепо и является лишь тратой вашего времени. Если вы договорились о подводной съемке, заранее договоритесь наверху о том, как гид будет снимать вас. Сразу же выбейте из его пустой головы мысль об организации портретной фото сессии! Зачем вам нужны эти нелепые фотопортреты с выпученными глазами и нелепым выражением лица? Заставьте его снимать окружающий подводный пейзаж, и вас на фоне этого. Пусть он снимает вас сбоку или сверху! Это будет оптимальный и исчерпывающий визуальный отчет о вашем погружении!
Нам не удалось избежать подвохов. К примеру, заранее обговоренный ланч оказался фикцией. Нам вручили завёрнутый в целлофан кусок несвежего багета, который включал немного увядшего салата и нечто похожее на мясной фарш. С получением услуг под водой в целом нам удалось удержать контроль. Мы тщательно контролировали время и гида. Каждое погружение продолжалось около часа.
А вот ситуация наверху вышла из-под контроля хозяев. Забавно, сломался мотор дайвбота. Хозяин судна был чрезвычайно зол. Он очень хотел вернуться пораньше. Мы же были абсолютно спокойны. Отличная погода, кристально чистая вода и большой запас времени до заката. Мы наслаждались солнцем и морем...
