Hello everyone today I will take a tour you people the land of God and Goddesses that is Himachal Pradesh.
Himachal Pradesh is one of the Northern State which is located in the Western Himalayas covered with snowy mountains, dense forest and green pastures. It is well known for its scenic nature, apples, tracking, skiing, and fresh water sports.
Shimla is the capital and it has twelve districts.
Shimla, Kullu-Manali Chamba, Dharamshala, Mandi has its historic significance and geographical features attract the to the visitor.
DHARAMSHALA host to Dalai Lama it has strong presence of Bhuddist temple and monasteries.
"ATHITHI DEVO BHAVA" means Guests are equivalent to God.
Guests are always welcomed by Himachalis.
Himachalis are devotees, innocent, sober, polite, peaceful and very simple. They feel happy in every situations.
Feel proudly being as a Himachali, because its nature mesmerising everyone. This land consists multi cultural and multi religions but mostly Hindu communities residing in Himachal Pradesh.
Agriculture and horticulture is the main occupation. Himachal is famous for handicraft like shawl, Pattu and wooden work. Wooden work can be seen at temple and as well as in houses.
Himachali caps and pashmina shawls are highly demanding article all over the country.
Mega festivals :
- Kullu Dussehra : is celebrated in the month of October. Large number of merchants came from the different parts of India.
Administration of Kullu host the cultural programmes in the evening.
- Shivratri : Means the night of Lord Shiva. On this day God Shiva get married with Maa Parvati the Hindu goddess. The lord Shiva give blessing to the devotees who wake up whole night.
People chanting powerful Myntra Om Namah Shivay with the depth of the heart.
Hindu couple worship Shiva with offering milk, flowers, and three leaves tree.
This festival is internationally celebrated in Mandi district.
Lights transform Mandi town into galaxy.
Now these days I came to my native village Wah that falls in Mandi district to enjoy the village life.
One more thing I have to tell you people, today we celebrate HIMACHAL DAY in our school. On this day 15th April 1948 this state was created as a province of INDIA.
On this day special morning assembly has been conducted by girls of class X. Fashion show was presented collectively of 12 district of HP prepared by Suresh. It was amazing.
