Getting Fern and Selling at Sabang

It was not just a #beautifulsunday and also a simple #sublimesunday. I had so much fun going together with these children. They brought me to a new different world I must say. Even though it was tiring walking around with these tall grasses and trees. Also, a little bit of fear visited me thinking that there might be snakes around. I was a coward compared to these children because they were so free roaming around, picking ferns.

For the benefit of others who don't recognize fern. It is a plant that can be found near the riverside. It is always being seen in the forest but not the type where it is being visited most of the time. Fern is considered a grass, a wild grass I guess.

For quite a distance, these children stopped walking on the concrete road and began to change direction. Of course, I just followed because they were the ones who knew about it.

I just followed them walking until one of them suddenly picked something. Then I started asking questions about it. They both told me that Fern can be found here, it's not easy to find because it was being mixed with other grasses.

We had conversations while they were picking but they were not very comfortable with me yet. I am older and I'm not a resident here for long. When they talked to me their voices were so low that I could barely hear them.

Actually, I have a video of them but unfortunately, I couldn't upload it because of a slow internet connection. In the video, you can see the real action of these two just roaming around and picking ferns randomly.

It was a beautiful view as well that made me enjoy watching these children while following them. Even though the heat was so high that it burned my skin, I ignored it. I enjoyed following them.

After picking up the fern they decided to leave already. They'd be selling ferns in the small village. They roamed around again, not shouting about what they were selling. They just let the people call them and then they were the ones who came for them.

After an hour of spending bravely conquering the forest in searching Fern. They earned 100 pesos or $ 2 for the whole bundle of fern you see in the picture.
