That brings back memories. Its my favourite part of Singapore. About 18 years ago, when I travelled a lot, I always bounced in and out of Singapore at the start and finish of a trip and stayed a few days. I loved walking through the park by the sea and watching the planes. Its a great chill-out zone. However, the first time I had visited, I'd planned to camp there, I didn't realise it was strictly illegal but luckily hadn't got the tent up fully when 2 wardens or police came to see what I was up to. They just put me straight and let me go on my way.
Happy days, especially at Christmas when the city looks so beautiful :-)
Great post, thank you and best wishes.
These are a few places in the country where I can feel an escape from the city, even though they're just an hour away from the lively parts of the city.
About the wardens: hmm, I didn't notice anyone roaming or stopping those who set up camp under the "no camping" sign 😂. Maybe because it was a Sunday, or they just didn't bother anymore.
I'm also excited as we get close to Christmas week. There will be bazaars and displays that I intend to visit.
