Friends, I had gone to Bir a few days ago. Bir is famous for paragliding. It is a beautiful city situated in Kangra district of Himachal. I went to the Bir Trail Running Event. In which I do volunteering.
On 16th May, at 9 pm, I took a bus from Shimla bus stand to bir. The distance from Shimla is approximately 200KM. The bus fare from Shimla to Bir is around Rs 450. The bus conductor hurriedly charges my fare to Palampur, sixty kilometers away. I tell him that brother, you have deducted my ticket to Palampur. I have to go till bir. He smiles and says brother I have given you the Palampur ticket by mistake.
I got a window seat and could not see anything outside at night. This is the last bus going to Palampur, so all its seats are booked. I listen to music with Airpods and fall asleep.
The bus stops for dinner at around eleven o'clock at night. I was not hungry so I just drank tea and had fruits to eat on the bus. The bus leaves after half an hour. I fall asleep again.
At four in the morning the bus drops me at Bir Chowk. The distance of Bir from here is two kilometers. When I don't get a car in the morning, I start walking towards Bir on foot. It is four o'clock in the morning and it is also dark. All shops and markets are closed. There is silence in the entire city. The dogs in the street are barking at me and I am scaring them with my loud voice in the morning. I reach Bir in some time.
I hear the sound of a bell from a distance. I move towards that voice. So I see that uncle has just opened the shop and he is doing puja. As soon as he finishes worshiping, I greet him and ask him to make tea. While having tea we get to know each other better. I ask them, will I get a room to stay for three days? Uncle says yes. Uncle shows me the room and gives me the key of the room.I rest in the room throughout the day and enjoy the sunset in the evening.
