Well known for its long pier and beautiful foreshore walks. Situated 40km north east of Brisbane City.

Has its own spectacular parkrun but can get quite busy on the shared pathways.
Moreton Bay waters, protected by Moreton and North Stradbroke Islands.
Tag online timing point. I have not seen or used these before but might be a bit of fun to test out in the future.
Seems crazy to build a huge free council pool complex right next to a well protected beach, but like any where in Australia there's a lot of marine life and hazards out there in the bay that can be dangerous.
My partner is practising walking on different kinds of surfaces to build up her confidence in natural movement. She also really likes rocks.

Anzac Memorial
Settlement Cove is named after the first the European settlement in Queensland in 1824. The Traditional Custodians are the Ningi-Ningi Clan.
I have been living in Queensland for over 20 years and had no idea that this area had the first European settlement. I always though it must have been Brisbane since it's our capital city.
Its almost Christmas!
The "Bee Gees": Redcliffe's most famous musicians in Bee Gees Way, an open air alley way converted into a museum.
The Gibb brothers were born in England but grew up locally in Redcliffe.
We started at Suttons Beach and walked up the coastal path and out along the pier. We did a quick inspection of the the First Settlement plaques before walking back through the shopping and restaurant area on the main street which included Bee Gees Way. (Photo from Strava)

Yep been there lived just a few minutes walk away from the jetty.
