Hello fellow travelers! I hope you find yourselves touring somewhere amazing and breathtaking.
One of the biggest tourist attractions of Merida is the Mukumbarí Cable Car, this has 5 stations with different heights for the enjoyment of its tourists, where an ascent is made to the Pico Espejo one of the highest points of this state since it is 4,765 meters above sea level.
Before going up we received some recommendations from our guides to avoid moor sickness, drink water all the way, snacks and chew gum, so that our body would remain without any change that would compromise our health, and as a good tourist I followed all the indications.
At the Barinitas station is where the journey begins and where you can also buy handicrafts, there are sales of coffee, food, among others, once we got to the facilities as we were part of a tour we did not take 20 minutes to board our way to start the tour, each cabin has a capacity for 60 passengers.
Once the cabin was full we started to climb towards La Montaña station at 2.452 above sea level, it is incredible how you can see the green mountains and part of Merida from the top, although to tell the truth I was a little nervous with the cabin that are held with cable but fascinated with the view.
Then we changed cabins and continued to the station La Aguada with an altitude of 3,452 meters above sea level, where we continued ascending on this route, this time we could not reach a seat and my sister and I were standing, but without ceasing to observe the wonderful nature.
Once at the fourth station: Loma Redonda I started to feel the altitude and it manifested itself with a small but tolerable headache, by this time I was at 4,025 meters high, at this station I could enjoy a horseback ride, I was already very close to reach the summit.
On the way to Pico Espejo two lagoons could be seen, and the mountains were no longer green to be more arid and rocky peaks, once we reached this point I must say that I felt a little dizzy but walking slowly I reached the monument to the Virgen de las Nieves, and felt I was in heaven because in one area could see that we were above the cumulus clouds while on the other side could see the green mountains and quite clear.
Here you could also enjoy some coffee or other beverages and some goodies as in the rest of the stations, but I felt so unsteady that I preferred to sit down until our group was called to descend.
It was a brutal experience, full of fear but I feel happy that I was able to be at 4,765 m.a.s.l. I was so excited that I didn't feel the cold around me but I think it was partly because I was well wrapped up warm.

¡Hola amigos viajeros! Espero se encuentren recorriendo algún sitio increíble y que les deje sin aliento.
Uno de los mayores atractivos turísticos de Mérida es el Teleférico de Mukumbarí, este posee 5 estaciones con distintas alturas para el disfrute de sus turistas, donde se realiza un ascenso hasta el Pico Espejo uno de los puntos más altos de este estado ya que se encuentra 4.765 metros sobre el nivel del mar.
Antes de subir recibimos algunas recomendaciones de nuestros guías para evitar el mal de páramo, consumir agua todo el recorrido, golosinas y masticar chicle, para que nuestro cuerpo se mantuviera sin presentar algún cambio que comprometiera nuestra salud, y como buena turista seguí todas las indicaciones.
En la estación Barinitas es donde inicia el trayecto y donde además se pueden adquirir artesanías, hay ventas de café comida, entre otros, una vez que llegamos hasta las instalaciones como éramos parte de un tour no nos tardamos ni 20 minutos en abordar nuestra camino par iniciar el recorrido, cada cabina tiene una capacidad par 60 pasajeros.
Una vez que la cabina estuvo llena empezamos a subir hacia la estación La Montaña a 2.452 sobre el nivel del mar, es increíble como pueden verse las verdes montañas y parte de Mérida desde lo alto, aunque a decir verdad estaba un poco nerviosa con la cabina que son sostenidas con cable pero fascinada con la vista.
Luego cambiamos de cabina y continuamos hacia la estación La Aguada con una altura a 3.452 m.s.n.m, donde continuamos ascendiendo en este trayecto, en ésta oportunidad no pudimos alcanzar un asiento y estábamos mi hermana y yo de pie, pero sin dejar de observar a la maravillosa naturaleza.
Una vez en la cuarta estación: Loma Redonda empecé a sentir la altura y se manifestó con un pequeño dolor de cabeza pero tolerable, para este entonces estaba a 4.025 metros de altura, en ésta estación podía disfrutarse de un paseo a caballo, ya estaba muy cerca de llegar a la cima.
En el trayecto al Pico Espejo podían verse dos lagunas, y las montañas dejaban de verse verdes para ser picos más áridos y rocosos, una vez llegamos a este punto debo decir que me sentía un poco mareada pero caminando lentamente llegué hasta el monumento a la Virgen de las Nieves, y sentía que estaba en el cielo ya que en una zona podía verse que estábamos por encima de los cúmulos de nubes mientras que del otro lado podían verse las montañas verdes y bastante despejado.
Acá también podía disfrutarse de algún café o bebidas de otro tipo y algunas golosinas como en el resto de las estaciones, pero yo me sentía tan inestable que preferí sentarme hasta que llamarán a nuestro grupo para descender.
Fue una experiencia brutal, llena de miedo pero me siento contenta de que pude estar a 4.765 m.s.n.m, estaba tan entusiasmada que no sentía el frío que había a mi alrededor pero creo que en parte era porque estaba bien abrigada.
