This trip to Adicora on the Paraguana Peninsula in Falcón State was my gift to my eldest daughter Alys for her 7th birthday. We didn't go alone; we were accompanied by her sister Abby, my mom, an aunt, and my sister @noelyss. I had to save up for months to make it possible, but as I always say, "You suffer, but you also enjoy," and creating good memories for my girls makes it all worthwhile.
We left the city of San Francisco with a trusted travel agency called Turistour Zulia at approximately 12:00 a.m. The bus that took us to Adicora was double-decker with reclining seats, quite comfortable and ideal for traveling with children.
We arrived just at dawn and immediately went to the beach. The sun couldn't quite peek through because there were some gray clouds in the sky. Seagulls flew nonstop, and the sound of the waves was music to my ears.
We looked for some tables to put our things on, which had an additional cost. While we were doing that, our breakfast arrived: mojito empanadas, cheese, and meat with tartar sauce. We ate with great enthusiasm because, even though it was early, we were hungry.
One of the things I like most about Adicora is walking along its boulevard. Compared to two years ago, it now has some new features, such as surfboards on the shore and spaces where you can lose yourself in the view of the sea.
Most restaurants were closed because it was very early, as was the case with Casa Rosada, and only one was available. Luckily, our tour included lunch.
I took a moment to enjoy the sea, the palm trees, and the xerophytic vegetation of the place, what an extraordinary, simply magical landscape. I felt a deep gratitude for being there again, thinking I would never return.
We saw some stands with fridge magnets, beach-themed key rings, creative and colorful jewelry, as well as scarves to protect yourself from the sun. I bought a magnet with the name Adicora on it.
On the way back, the girls went straight to the beach to take a dip, but not before dancing a little and playing in the sand. They were really connected and kept repeating, "Mom, I love the beach," and I was teary-eyed but filled with happiness.
There are other details and places I visited on this trip, which I will show you later.
Kisses.

Besos.
