Hello travelers from all over the world, I still have some places to show you from our beautiful and magical state of Merida in my beloved country Venezuela, after visiting the Capilla de Piedra we continue our journey on the Trasandina highway towards the Monumento Loca Luz Caraballo which is located inside a park with the same name.
Upon entering the Parque Loca Luz Caraballo there were some stone paths with steep climbs where there were some railings in some areas to hold on and avoid falling as some rocks were slippery, but nevertheless with every step around you could see nature, some trees and the mountains in the background, part of the cozy town of Apartaderos.
Then there were the stairs composed of more than 25 steps which we ascend to reach the Monumento Loca Luz Caraballo when we reach the top we find her statue pointing to where legend and the poem of Andrés Eloy Blanco tells the route that she indicated to the Spaniards to throw them off the route where Bolivar's troops were at the time of the Independence of Venezuela, She went crazy because her sons left to fight, they lost their lives in battle and that event left her devastated, although some of her living relatives say that this is not true and that it is only part of the poem.
The statue is on a base of stones and is a huge figure with a height of more than 3 meters of a woman with long hair and disheveled, with apparently old and wide clothes, as I mentioned before with his right hand is pointing towards the supposed route of Bolivar in battle and in the other as if he were holding or grabbing something.
From the height of this site you can breathe fresh air and feel a nice cool breeze while being captivated with the view of the mountains in all directions matching the blue sky at noon, it is so wonderful to be there because it also allows us to connect with part of nature.
This monument is cultural heritage and was made in honor of the Venezuelan poet Andres Eloy Blanco in the year 1971, I had already had the honor of visiting it in the past but I did not remember it because I was a child, but believe me that from this moment I will not forget its legend, true story and the poem "Palabreo de la Loca Luz Caraballo " what our great poet gave us.

Hola gente viajera del mundo entero, aún tengo algunos sitios que mostrarles de nuestro bello y mágico estado Mérida en mi amado país Venezuela, después de visitar la Capilla de Piedra continuamos nuestro trayecto en la carretera Trasandina hacia el Monumento Loca Luz Caraballo que queda ubicado dentro de un parque con el mismo nombre.
Al entrar al Parque Loca Luz Caraballo se encontraban unos caminos de piedras con subidas algo empinadas donde habían algunas barandas en algunas zonas para sostenerse e evitar caerse ya que algunas rocas estaban resbalosas, pero sin embargo con cada paso que daba en el alrededor podía observarse la naturaleza, algunos árboles y las montañas de fondo, parte del acogedor pueblo de Apartaderos.
Luego estaban las escaleras compuestas por más de 25 escalones las cuáles ascendemos para llegar al Monumento Loca Luz Caraballo al llegar a la cima se encuentra su estatua señalando hacia donde cuenta leyenda y el poema de Andrés Eloy Blanco se encuentra la ruta que le indicó a los españoles para despistarlos de la ruta donde se encontraban las tropas de Bolívar en la época de la Independencia de Venezuela, ella enloqueció a raíz de que sus hijos se marcharon a luchar, perdieron su vida en batalla y ese acontecimiento la dejo destrozada, aunque dicen algunos de sus familiares vivos que esto no es cierto y que sólo forma parte del poema.
La estatua se encuentra sobre una base de piedras y es una figura enorme con una altura de más de 3 metros de una mujer con cabello largo y desarreglado, con ropa aparentemente vieja y ancha, como les mencioné antes con su mano derecha se encuentra señalando hacia la supuesta ruta de Bolívar en batalla y en la otra como si estuviera sosteniendo o agarrando algo.
Desde la altura de este sitio se respira aire puro y se siente una brisa fría bastante agradable mientras era cautivada con la vista de las montañas en todas sus direcciones haciendo juego con el azul del cielo en horas del mediodía, es tan maravilloso estar ahí porque también permite conectarnos con parte de la naturaleza.
Este monumento es patrimonio cultural y fue realizado en honor al poeta Venezolano Andrés Eloy Blanco en el año 1.971, ya había tenido el honor de visitarlo en el pasado pero no lo recordaba porque era una niña, pero créanme que desde este momento no olvidaré su leyenda, historia verdadera y el poema "Palabreo de la Loca Luz Caraballo" qué nos regalo nuestro gran poeta.
