Good evening travelers of the world!

Sometimes I do tourism closer to home and in the same state, because now I only think of living my free time looking for some adventure, this time I was visiting the municipality Mara, specifically the Radio Museum of Zulia, which is located about 30 minutes from Maracaibo and specifically within the facilities of the Simon Bolivar Planetarium, the entrance fee is $ 1.50 or the exchange rate in bolivars for that time 100BS.

A phrase to the pioneer of broadcasting of the Zuliano Jose Higuera Miranda is found in its entrance that says: "The media are not of those who manage them, they are reason and property of the people" referring that radio serves to enhance the voice of the citizen, a colorful wall was behind a glass door referring to the passage of time and evolution of broadcasting in my beautiful state of Zulia.

Once I started touring the museum, its facilities reflected part of the passage of time, including television equipment, microphones of different sizes and shapes that were used in the radio, also some records including one of Chespirito.

I was in an old radio studio, with all its controls, microphones and other instruments that were used to go on the air, as well as an old communication center to broadcast the signal, and one or another cassette that reminds me a lot of the first radios we had at home.

Other artifacts such as the first telephone that came to the city, where two people spoke and the rest that had the same wiring listened to the conversations so there was no privacy, I found it interesting to see some old Victrolas to listen to records and of course a section with the evolution and change of the characteristics of the cameras, radio telephones and typewriters, plus the first projectors that came to the city.

Before leaving I could see in detail the AM and FM receivers as radio broadcasting evolved, I can not fail to mention that the first station to be heard in my state was the Voz del Lago in 1931, although the most popular in the country has been Radio Popular in the 90's and currently both are off the air.

It is always good to be able to take a look at the past to know and understand how far we have come and even though technology is evolving more and more, some people still listen to the radio and all that this important means of communication has to offer us.

That day I learned a little more about the history and culture of my state, so I am quite happy about that.

Algunas veces hago turismo más cerca de casa y en el mismo estado, porque ahora solo pienso en vivir mi tiempo libre buscando alguna aventura, en ésta oportunidad estuve visitando el municipio Mara, específicamente el Museo de la Radio del Zulia, que se encuentra a unos 30 minutos de Maracaibo y específicamente dentro de las instalaciones del Planetario Simón Bolívar, al entrada del mismo es de 1,50 dólares o al cambio en bolívares para ese momento 100BS.

Una frase al pionero de la radiodifusión del Zuliano José Higuera Miranda se encuentra en su entrada que dice: "Los medios no son de quienes los manejan, son razón y propiedad de los pueblos" haciendo referencia a que radio sirve para realzar la voz del ciudadano, una colorida pared se encontraba detrás de una puerta de cristal haciendo referencia al paso del tiempo y evolución de la radiodifusión en mi bello estado Zulia.

Una vez que empecé a recorrer el museo, en sus instalaciones reflejaban parte del paso tiempo, entre ellos equipos de televisión, micrófonos de distintos tamaños y formas que se empleaban en la radio, también algunos discos entre ellos uno de Chespirito.

Estuve en un estudio de radio antiguo, con todos sus controles, micrófonos y demás instrumentos que se empleaban para salir al aire, al igual que con una antigua central de comunicación para emitir la señal, y uno que otro cassette que me recuerdan mucho a los primeros radios que teníamos en casa.

Otros artefactos como el primer teléfono que llegó a la ciudad, donde hablaban dos personas y el resto que contaba con el mismo cableado escuchaba las conversaciones así que noexistía la privacidad, me pareció interesante ver unas antiguas Victrolas para escuchar los discos y por supuesto una sección con la evolución y el cambio de las características de las cámaras, los equipos de radio teléfonos y máquinas de escribir, además los primeros proyectores que llegaron a la ciudad.

Antes de irme pude ver detalladamente los receptores de AM y FM conforme fue evolucionando la radiodifusión, no puedo dejar de mencionar que la primera emisora en escucharse en mi estado fue la Voz del Lago en 1931, aunque la más popular en el país ha sido Radio Popular en la década de los 90 y actualmente ambas se encuentran fuera del aire.

Siempre es bueno poder darle un vistazo al pasado para saber y entender que tanto hemos avanzado y aunque la tecnología evoluciona cada vez más igual algunas personas seguimos escuchando la radio y todo lo que tiene para ofrecernos este importante medio de comunicación.

Ese día aprendí un poco más de la historia y cultura de mi estado, por lo tanto me siento bastante contenta por eso.
