El monumento del Perro Nevado es uno de los pocos espacios en Venezuela que rinde homenaje especial a la mascota Martir de Simón Bolivar un perro de raza Muchchies que estos habitan en los paramos merideños, este perro fue un regalo de un hacendado al libertador Bolivar en Junio de 1813, este monumento se encuentra ubicado en el estado Mérida justamente subiendo el páramo específicamente antes de Mucuchíes, es una vía bastante transitada por los turistas, donde puedes ver una panorámica de distintas formas de la inmensidad de las montañas.

Por último en este monumento podemos evidenciar en las esculturas a Bolivar junto con su amigo incondicional Nevado al lado, cabe destacar que cuando Nevado falleció Bolivar experimento uno de los dolores mas grande de su vida, luego del que sintió por su esposa María del Toro, es hermoso este lugar por completo no debes dejar de visitarlo si te encuentras recorriendo el estado Mérida.
