La Península de San Carlos se encuentra específicamente en el Municipio Almirante Padilla, este es un lugar insular que se encuentra justamente en el Golfo Venezolano posee una estrecha cercanía con el mar Caribe, justamente al norte de la reconocida Isla de Toas, las aguas que constituyen la Península de San Carlos están conformadas por el Lago de Maracaibo, también posee una estrecha relación con el municipio Guajira que este se encuentra totalmente cercano al país fronterizo de Colombia.

Este muelle apenas fue inaugurado el 19 de abril, del presente año para darle una visión turística y paradisíaca a todos los turistas que llegan visitando la Península de San Carlos, que estos son procedentes justamente desde los distintos municipios del estado Zulia cómo lo son Maracaibo, San Francisco, la Costa Oriental y ciertos lugareños que se encuentran cerca de la península, cabe resaltar que durante muchos años este muelle se encontraba totalmente abandonado, pero ahora el turismo ha agarrado de cierta manera fuerza dentro de la localidad.
