After sunbathing on Cabo da Roca and Praia da Ursa, I did not think that something else as pleasant will happen to us in Portugal. I was wrong.
After renting the car, the plan was to drive to the high south of Portugal to the Algarve region for three days. Everything would be beautiful, because the route was not far, only less than 300 km, but what was my surprise when it turned out that you have to pay 22 euros for such a pleasure. I thought that our Polish highways were very expensive, but the Portuguese also count their drivers well.
After reaching the south and exiting the freeway, we were a bit shocked. For many kilometers along the road that connects Faro with Lagos, which runs parallel to the coast, there was one long seaside resort full of attractions. Driving the car, every minute we passed road signs informing that in 300 meters on the left we will reach the aquapark, in 500 meters on the left we will reach the zoo, in 700 meters an amusement park full of roller coasters. In between, we passed numerous hotels, private agritourism farms and private summer houses. Mid-May is not a high tourist season, so luckily in the Algarve region there was no sea of tourists yet.

Po plażowaniu na Cabo da Roca i Praia da Ursa nie sądziłem, że jeszcze coś równie przyjemnego spotka nas w portugali. Myliłem się.
Po wynajęciu auta plan zakładał pojechanie na trzy dni na samo południe Portugali do rejonu Algarve. Wszystko byłoby pięknie, bo trasa nie była daleka, tylko niecałe 300km, ale jakie było moje zdziwienie, gdy okazało się że za taka przyjemność trzeba zapłacić 22 euro. Myślałem, że nasze polskie autostrady są bardzo drogie, no ale Portugalczycy też dobrze liczą swoim kierowcom.
Po dotarciu na południe i zjechaniu z autostrady byliśmy lekko zszokowani. Przez wiele kilometrów wzdłuż drogi łączącej Faro z Lagos która biegnie równolegle do wybrzeża, rozciągał się jeden długi nadmorski kurort pełen atrakcji. Jadąc autem co minutę mijaliśmy znaki drogowe informujące, że za 300 metrów w lewo dotrzemy do aquaparku, za 500 metrów w lewo dotrzemy do ogrodu zoologicznego, za 700 metrów park rozrywki pełen kolejek górskich. Pomiędzy tym wszystkim mijaliśmy liczne hotele, prywatne agroturystyczne gospodarstwa oraz prywatne domki letniskowe. Połowa maja to nie jest wysoki sezon turystyczny więc całe szczęście w rejonie Algarve nie było jeszcze morza turystów.

As soon as we got to the coast, we understood why this coast is so popular with tourists. Steep cliffs where every few hundred meters there are tiny sand beaches squeezed into the shore, and so on a distance of several kilometers. We only visited a 5-kilometer stretch of the coast there, and we started with swimming on the Praia da Marinha beach. Being there, I tried to swim to the inaccessible land route of Praia do Buraco, but unfortunately the sea waves were too strong so I was a bit afraid.

Gdy tylko dotarliśmy do wybrzeża zrozumieliśmy dlaczego to wybrzeże jest tak popularne wśród turystów. Strome wybrzeże klifowe na którym co kilkaset metrów znajdują się malutki wciśnięte w brzeg piaskowe plaże i tak na dystansie kilkunastu kilometrów. My zwiedziliśmy tam tylko odcinek zaledwie 5 kilometrów wybrzeża, a zaczęliśmy od pływania na plaży Praia da Marinha. Będąc tam próbowałem przepłynąć na niedostępną droga lądową plaże Praia do Buraco, ale niestety morskie fale były zbyt mocne więc się trochę bałem.

After swimming, we took a walk to the east and there we visited another beach on foot. The inaccessible beaches Praia do Pau and Praia da Malhada do Baraço, and the very narrow, but with access from the land side, Praia do Barranquinho beaches. Right behind it is one of the most popular places on the entire coast. Rock arch of Arco de Albandeira.

Po pływaniu zrobiliśmy sobie spacer w kierunku wschodnim i tam pieszo zwiedzaliśmy kolejne plażę. Niedostępne plażę Praia do Pau oraz Praia da Malhada do Baraço oraz bardzo wąską, ale za to z dostępem od strony lądowej plaże Praia do Barranquinho. Zaraz za nią znajduje się jedno z najpopularniejszych miejsc na całym wybrzeżu. Łuk skalny Arco de Albandeira.

We made a longer name only on the Praia de Albandeira beach. It is probably the least popular beach on the entire coast, accessible from the mainland. It was very empty so we spent a long time there and had a picnic.

Dłuższą przezwę zrobiliśmy dopiero na plaży Praia de Albandeira. Jest to chyba najmniej popularna plaża na całym wybrzeżu, która posiada dojście od strony lądowej. Było tam bardzo pusto więc spędziliśmy tam dłuższy czas i zrobiliśmy sobie piknik.

When we returned to the starting point, that is, in the vicinity of Praia da Marinha beach, we went to visit the viewpoint on the two arches of the Arco Natural Mesquita

Gdy wróciliśmy do punktu wyjścia czyli w okolice plaży Praia da Marinha poszliśmy jeszcze odwiedzić punkt widokowy na dwa łuki Arco Natural Mesquita
