On the next day of our car trip in the Atacama desert, we decided to go northwest of San Pedro de Atacama. We have planned to introduce two sites located only a few kilometers apart.
The first one is Yer Buenas, a complex protruding directly with reservation for animals decorated with numerous dates for about 10,000 years. the types of rock paintings are also for animals, mainly llamas and flamingos, but among the paintings one can easily see mysterious human-shaped figures, luminous rays emanate from their heads. Images of gods? Wonderful beyond human creatures? Aliens? W kolejny dzień naszej samochodowej wycieczki po pustyni Atakama postanowiliśmy udać się na północny zachód od San Pedro de Atacama. Zaplanowaliśmy odwiedzić dwa miejsca położone od siebie raptem o kilka kilometrów.
Pierwsza to Yerbas Buenas czyli kompleks skał wystających wprost z pustyni będący przyozdobiony licznymi petroglifów datowanymi na około 10 000 lat. Zdecydowana większość obrazków naskalnych są to przedstawienia zwierząt, głownie lamy i flamingi, ale wśród malowideł można zauważyć też tajemnicze człekokształtne postacie którym z głów wychodzą świetliste promienie. Wizerunki bogów? Cudownych ponad ludzkich stworzeń? Obcych? Istna woda na młyn, dla rozlicznych teorii spiskowych rodem z Dänikenowskich książek traktujących o cywilizacjach z innych planet, które bardzo chętnie kontaktowały się z naszymi pra pra pra przodkami, no ale nie da się ukryć, że mniej więcej od tego miejsca rysunki tajemniczych o tajemniczym przeznaczeniu zaczną się nam pojawiać często, oj bardzo często a ich największe nagromadzenie będzie miało miejsce w Peru.

Remembering our stay in Yerbas Buenas, I will always remember a story related to the purchase of tickets, a story that completely contradicts the stereotype of "Pole - poor man - dodger". One slightly older Canadian traveled with us to Yerbas Buenas. We found ourselves on one of the portals for backpackers and decided that such a joint trip with a car we rented, assuming the participation of fuel costs, would pay off for everyone. So in the morning we left the center of San Pedro de Atacama to the outskirts of the city, because our travel companion, this Canadian, was staying in a rented house. The journey was very nice, we talked about this and that, thanks to which time flew faster. When we got there and it turned out that, as always in Chile, the entrance to the tourist attraction is guarded by a guard who charges the entrance fee, our Canadian woman showed disproportionate indignation with this fact. We have already learned that in Chile you have to pay for everything, we were glad that it was only PLN 20 per person, while the Canadian did not even hide her indignation. Finally, before our eyes, she started a conversation with the guard in a truly "Polish style". And maybe the Lord would let us in for free ... or at least let the Lord let us in for the price of two tickets ... You will take the money in your pocket ... no one will know ... childhood, which was in the late 90's and when this "combination" engraved in the times of the Polish People's Republic was still strongly present in our society, but now, after so many years, such a form of slyness may seem only a memory or a strange exoticism. Who would have thought that the slyness and combining that throughout the years of life in the new European orderly society were made of our behavior, the habits of a Canadian flourishes at its best. An interesting paradox. That Canadian woman showed her nature once again that day, but let me not remember that event in order not to be nervous.

Wspominając nasz pobyt w Yerbas Buenas zawszę będę przypominał sobie pewną historie związaną z zakupem biletów, która to historia całkowicie przeczy stereotypowi „Polaka – biedaka – cwaniaka”. Wycieczkę do Yerbas Buenas odbywała z nami jedna trochę starsza Kanadyjka. Znaleźliśmy się na jednym z portali dla backpakerów i uznaliśmy, że taki wspólny wyjazd wynajętym przez nas autem autem przy założeniu partycypacji kosztów paliwa każdemu się opłaci. Tak więc rano wyjechaliśmy z centrum San Pedro de Atacama na obrzeża miasta, że w wynajmowanym domku pomieszkiwała nasza towarzyszka podróży owa kanadyjka. Podróż mijała nam bardzo sympatycznie, rozmawialiśmy o tym i o tamtym, dzięki czemu czas szybciej leciał. Gdy dotarliśmy na miejsce i okazało się, że jak zawsze w Chile wstępu do atrakcji turystycznej strzeże wartownik pobierający opłatę za wejście nasza kanadyjka okazała niewspółmierne oburzenie tym faktem. My nauczyliśmy się już tego, że w Chile za wszystko trzeba zapłacić, cieszyliśmy się, że to przecież tylko 20 zł za osobę, natomiast kanadyjka nawet nie skrywała swojego oburzenia. W końcu na naszych oczach rozpoczęła z wartownikiem rozmowę w iście „polskim stylu”. A może by tak Pan nas wpuścił za darmo… albo przynajmniej niech Pan wpuści nasza trójkę w cenie dwóch biletów… Pieniądze Pan weźmie sobie do kieszeni… nikt się nie dowie… Ja i Agatka stoimy jak wryci, bo przed naszymi oczami rozgrywa się swoisty backflash z dzieciństwa, które przypadało na późne lata 90’ i kiedy to „kombinowanie” wyryte w czasach PRL było wciąż silnie obecne w naszym społeczeństwie, jednak teraz po tylu latach taka forma cwaniactwa wydawać się może tylko wspomnieniem lub dziwną egzotyką. Kto by pomyślał, że cwaniactwo i kombinowanie które przez lata życia w nowym europejskim uporządkowanym społeczeństwie było plewione z naszych zachowań, w nawykach kanadyjki kwitnie sobie w najlepsze. Ciekawy paradoks. Owa Kanadyjka tego dnia pokazała swoją naturę raz jeszcze, ale pozwolicie, że aby się nie denerwować nie będę wspominał tamtego zdarzenia.

The second attraction that can be visited in the area is the rainbow valley of Valle del Arcoiris, which is not ugly, but compared to the Argentinian colorful hills from the Jujuy province, they look quite pale.

Drugą atrakcją, którą można zwiedzić w okolicy jest tęczowa dolina Valle del Arcoiris, która nie jest brzydka, jednak w porównaniu do Argentyńskich kolorowych wzgórz z prowincji Jujuy wypadają dość blado.
