Greetings!
How is everyone doing? I'm doing well, thank you. Traveling has become an integral part of human life, and I personally love it. Natural locations evoke a wonderful feeling, and I enjoy spending time in such places.
Today’s trip is a bit different. Although the location is very old and beautiful, I wanted to share it with all of you. It’s close to home and holds a special place in my heart.
I have cherished this place since childhood and have many fond memories associated with it. Today, I am excited to share my favorite spot with you.
Resting under the ancient banyan tree
It is very cold on winter mornings, and I find myself waiting to see the sunrise. As the sunlight gradually illuminates the surroundings, the scene becomes more enchanting. Once I leave the house, it doesn't take long to reach my destination. When I arrive, the place is visible, and it looks beautiful.
Although the place has changed a little since my childhood, its beauty and pleasant atmosphere remain. The tranquility of this location is mainly due to the large banyan trees that provide ample shade. There is also a lovely seating arrangement beneath these trees. Additionally, an old temple adds to the charm of the area.
The beauty of this place is further enhanced by the small river that runs nearby. The cool breeze from the river creates a refreshing atmosphere, and being there gives me a wonderful feeling. I cherish my time spent here; it is an incredibly beautiful spot that attracts many visitors.

The banyan tree here is a beautiful and colorful sight. It is an old and large tree, providing a sense of peace to the area. This spot has become popular among people due to the tranquil combination of the river, the banyan tree, and the seating area beside it, which creates a pleasant and comfortable environment.
Near the tree, there is a very old temple that remains open for Hindu religious practices. I have visited this place since my childhood, and it has not changed over the years. While the temple itself is ancient, it is only painted annually during festival times.
Many festivals are held here, attracting people year after year. The site's enduring charm makes it a comfortable gathering place, leading to the organization of various festival fairs. The location is popular with everyone, and it celebrates festivals from both Hindu and Muslim traditions.

The banyan tree slopes gently from top to bottom, creating a calm and comfortable environment. You can see the beautiful flowers blooming on its branches. It's impressive to realize how vast the tree is and the amount of space it occupies. I love this place and have spent some of the best moments of my life here. Visiting is free, which makes the experience even more exciting. Enjoying such a beautiful location without any cost is truly special.

Fish is caught from the river and shared with everyone here.
A small house has been built next to the shaded area of the banyan tree. I have seen this house since childhood, and it is quite old, although it has no roof. The reason for this is that very early in the morning, around five or six o'clock, fish is distributed from this house. Fish are caught in the river throughout the night, and by morning, various types of fish are available. When you arrive at this place, you can witness the excitement and joy of buying and selling fish.
There are several attractions in the area, including a temple surrounded by banyan trees, a fish market by the river, and a large crematorium where the deceased are cremated. It’s a beautiful place that evokes deep emotions in visitors. The atmosphere here has a unique ability to resonate with people, creating a profound experience day by day.

Various images and locations here always give me strength, and I find my best feelings in this place. There is a small piece of farmland next to it, and the area is surrounded by jute mats. This is mainly because different types of betel are cultivated here. The surroundings are incredibly peaceful and beautiful to behold.
Although I was eager to experience more, I couldn’t stay for long due to time constraints. However, I truly enjoyed the river near the temple, which is surrounded by banyan trees. You can understand how much I cherish this place; I have many memories and emotions tied to it.

I visited this place many times during my childhood. I remember that, back then, the river would have a lot of water during the rainy season. However, now, even when it rains, there isn’t much water in the river. In the past, there was a boat board competition here, and a grand fair was organized around that event.
What joy it was! The place would be filled with people, and there was excitement in the air as we watched the boat board competition. I cherish those memories, and they often come to mind when I visit the area. Every time I return, I feel a wave of nostalgia and hope to relive those moments. I hold onto the hope that one day I will experience that joy again.
How to get there
To visit the small river in Amlabari village, located in the Khoksa police station area of Kushtia district, you can easily reach it from any district or division. The village is accessible by any vehicle, making your journey convenient. There is no cost associated with visiting this beautiful spot, and no tickets or barriers are required. Everyone is welcome to enjoy the area. This destination is one of the best places to visit on weekends.
If I made any mistakes or violated any rules, I apologize. Thank you for reading today’s blog. I look forward to seeing you in the next one. Best wishes!
