Namaste šŸ™

Hope you all are doing great!

Today, I’m gonna take you guys to a very very famous place, or we can say the most famous landmark and the most famous restaurant in Spiti Valley, that is Chacha Chachi dhaba in Batal.

In the middle of nowhere, where one can expect nothing except mountains and rocks lies, one beautiful settlement close to the river and close to the bridge that connects to the Kunjum paas.

IMG_2237.jpeg

We were staying in the camps owned by the cha-cha Chachi Dhaba owners only and they were one of the most generous people I have ever met in my entire life.

IMG_2238.jpeg

Talking about their generosity, they also have a president award for generosity. Let me tell you. They have helped a lot of people or we can say everyone who travels to this region to get food and basic necessary groceries.

IMG_2235.jpeg

They have been providing shelter to the needy in case of emergency for decades now and their business is successfully being handed over to their son. Tenzin, who is a really really nice guy.

IMG_2239.jpeg

We enjoyed a cup of tea there before having our dinner served near our camps. The temperatures were getting ruthless and the negative temperatures made tea, really cold, really fast.

In the photograph below, you can see the world famous landmark in its full glory. It might not look really appealing to your eyes, but when you see a settlement after really long journey, you can relate to that.

IMG_2241.jpeg

It’s just like finding water in the middle of a desert, and that too, a really cold desert that will for sure freeze you to death. They have been doing this for forever, and I highly appreciate them for this.

IMG_2251.jpeg

So next time, whenever you are visiting Spiti, you should visit them for sure, and I am quite sure that you will have to visit them, even if you don’t want to because there is no one else present there.

Thank you all for passing by. That Is it for today.

Peace ā˜®ļø
